Personal Log #5 - Action
[Spock gasped into consciousness and trembled at the biting cold. It took him a moment to realize that he was no longer on a metal, unforgiving examination table... but instead laying down in what felt like... snow. Fascinating.
His senses were completely off. The current date and time eluded him due to the number of occasions he had overcome to unconsciousness in the Malnosso's care...
Normally mental orientation would not be a problem...
...However, his current state of blindness left much to be desired.
He slowly stood, categorizing his physical condition, and found that his body was not cooperating as it should... he had to lean against a tree to retain balance. He ached all over. The Malnosso appeared curious towards his Vulcan physiology.... and went to great lengths to discover what they could. Spock shivered again as he recalled what they did to him. They had started with his fingers... running tests that involved pain tolerance and sense range.
They left the brain for last. Spock was successful in keeping them out of his Katra, a mental landscape containing his links...protecting what stability and bonds that he had left after his planet's devastation. However, it was his efforts in the end that now left him blind. In their enthusiasm, the Malnosso did not realize the extent of Vulcan stubbornness, so when threatening him with his eyesight did not work... they soon lost interest.
That left him in his current state.
Concentration was... difficult at the moment. There was too much pain. His Katra called out in an attempt to help him, but he did not know how successful that was. In the interim, Spock assumed that he was back in Luceti and started to walk forward... sensing the trees around him to use them for support.
He hoped someone would find him soon... He was without his uniform, and left once again in only a pair of pants. This cold was quickly becoming too much for his Vulcan biology to withstand.]
[Feel free to meet Spock wandering, blind, and cold. He's out in the woods currently, but he'll eventually make it somewhere near the village. Enjoy~]

Re: [Action]
But he recognizes the voice, and that sends a wave of calm through his mind.]
Luke? [The fact that he used the Jedi's first name spoke volumes to his condition.]
W-where am I? What is the current date and time?
[Action]
What's the matter?
Re: [Action]
It has left me blind unfortunately. This factor has made mental orientation difficult since losing consciousness.
[Spock shivered...] Would you be amenable to leading me to my home?
[Action]
[Luke moved over, touching Spock deliberately so he'd know where the Jedi was and took his hand]
Don't worry, I'll get you home. And I have a cloak.
[Luke dropped it over Spock's shoulders, hoping it would warm him]
Are you injured elsewhere?
Re: [Action]
All damage was done through the nervous system... it is nothing that time cannot heal.
Have I... missed anything significant since my kidnapping? [Spock slowly followed the Jedi, barely feeling the connection between their hands.]
[Action]
[Slowly Luke went, making sure to keep a gentle but firm grip on the Vulcan]
I'll get you to bed, and make sure Kirk's around to keep an eye on you.
Re: [Action]
My thanks Mister Skywalker. [Spock hesitates for a moment.] Am I to assume that you were able to sense my distress? [Spock wanted to know how Luke found him so darn quick...]
[Action]
[Luke offers the Vulcan a reassuring squeeze on the hand.]
It'll be alright, Spock.
Re: [Action]
[Spock leans into the Jedi for a moment, appreciating the calming presence in this situation...]
I will be more inclined to believe you once I have had rest... I believe I should thank you Luke...
[Action]
[He decides to attempt to cheer him up, offering what holiday cheer he can.]
Christmas isn't far away, you know.
Re: [Action]
However, I was speaking of expressing gratitude towards events previous of my kidnapping. Our meditation sessions have gone...a long way towards building my shields.
I was able to successfully keep them out of my Katra... [And for this, Spock was eternally grateful...because otherwise, he would have been lost. Perhaps forever this time.]
[Action]
[Luke nods, even though Spock can't see them.]
I'm glad I was able to help, but...what's a Katra? Not a word I know.
Re: [Action]
I have always been curious about it...
[Spock realizes that though his mother was 'happy' on Vulcan, she was stifled and not permitted to celebrate certain human traditions..]
The Vulcan 'Katra' is what you saw during our initial mediation. It is the entire essence of a Vulcan mind...
[Action]
I enjoyed it quite a lot last year.
[Luke nods again, invisibly to Spock]
And our meditations have helped repair it? Good.
Re: [Action]
[Spock leans into the Jedi... in a mock-embrace, and a pretty big show of affection for a Vulcan.]
Yes, our sessions have gone a long way to repair it. Though I regret that this incident will change my original estimated time of full recovery... however, it is of no matter. I have returned.
[Action]
Family and friends.
[Luke hugs him back, a little surprised in all honesty.]
It's good that you can see it that way, Spock.
Re: [Action]
Though I must admit that I am looking forward to experiencing... Christmas with everyone this year. [Work has a tendency to come first... which is logical. However... trapped as he was in Luceti, it gave him an opportunity to... relax?]
Indeed.. There was a saying on Vulcan... 'Ka'adith'... which means 'what is, is'... Once my nerves have healed... being blind will be easier to deal with.
[Action]
[By now they're nearly in the village, and Luke's leading Spock home]
I think it'll be good for you, and Christmas will probably help your spirits some. It's always good for focus.
Re: [Action] /flails at the icon XD
[Spock can start to sense that they are near civilization... the familiarity only increasing his calm.]
I... hope it is as you say. Do you have plans with Miss Mizuno? I ask.. merely because I am curious regarding different interactions.
[Action] Wedgemance
I do have plans with her. In Japan, I'm gathered it is a couples holiday. So, I'm going to spend the evening with her.
Re: [Action]
Dating relationships are something of a confusion for me... perhaps when I am well... we can discuss this further.
[Action]
Re: [Action]
She is a wonderfully intelligent individual, and I look forward to our interactions...though I do not believe that we should go on anymore 'dates'...
[Action]
I'm not a great matchmaker, that's Leia's job.
Re: [Action]
[And for that Spock will also be incredibly grateful...Because Syre was an amazing person who was very intelligent, and a pleasure to converse with...
Spock was beginning to realize that he needed friends...]
However, I am curious. What was it that kept you and Miss Mizuno from meeting us that evening?
