Personal Log #5 - Action
[Spock gasped into consciousness and trembled at the biting cold. It took him a moment to realize that he was no longer on a metal, unforgiving examination table... but instead laying down in what felt like... snow. Fascinating.
His senses were completely off. The current date and time eluded him due to the number of occasions he had overcome to unconsciousness in the Malnosso's care...
Normally mental orientation would not be a problem...
...However, his current state of blindness left much to be desired.
He slowly stood, categorizing his physical condition, and found that his body was not cooperating as it should... he had to lean against a tree to retain balance. He ached all over. The Malnosso appeared curious towards his Vulcan physiology.... and went to great lengths to discover what they could. Spock shivered again as he recalled what they did to him. They had started with his fingers... running tests that involved pain tolerance and sense range.
They left the brain for last. Spock was successful in keeping them out of his Katra, a mental landscape containing his links...protecting what stability and bonds that he had left after his planet's devastation. However, it was his efforts in the end that now left him blind. In their enthusiasm, the Malnosso did not realize the extent of Vulcan stubbornness, so when threatening him with his eyesight did not work... they soon lost interest.
That left him in his current state.
Concentration was... difficult at the moment. There was too much pain. His Katra called out in an attempt to help him, but he did not know how successful that was. In the interim, Spock assumed that he was back in Luceti and started to walk forward... sensing the trees around him to use them for support.
He hoped someone would find him soon... He was without his uniform, and left once again in only a pair of pants. This cold was quickly becoming too much for his Vulcan biology to withstand.]
[Feel free to meet Spock wandering, blind, and cold. He's out in the woods currently, but he'll eventually make it somewhere near the village. Enjoy~]

[There it was again, calling him Jim. He shifted to just let the other lean against him, reaching back into the pack to pull out the bottle of water.]
How are you feeling? Okay enough to drink something before we get up and head down?
no subject
no subject
How bad are you hurt, Spock? Can you walk?
no subject
I will... require some assistance getting home C-captain. I have suffered nerve damage during the... experimentation. They have...regretfully left me blind Jim....
[His eyes are searching for Jim's face... as illogical as it was. However, being in his Captain's presence... his T'hy'la's presence, was infinitely better than where he was.
He knew he was safe here...]
no subject
Right, that's... that's okay. Right. Well, let me know when you want to get up and we'll start down, but we should do it soon before it gets any colder.
no subject
Regardless, Spock starts to get up, signifying his readiness to leave at that point.]
no subject
Okay, we'll go slow. It's downhill the entire way, but it's gentle. So one foot in front of the other.
[sighing, he started them on down, squeezing his hip.]
You're gonna be okay, Spock.
no subject
No matter.
Spock leaned into the solid form beside him, feeling the heat emanating from Jim in waves.]
I thank thee... Captain. [Spock is pliant, allowing himself to be lead down the snowy hill.]
How long...have I been gone?
no subject
[He didn't want to say how those nights had been hard, knowing that the Vulcan wasn't in the next bedroom over, knowing he was undergoing who knew what. And now he did know and he wanted nothing more than to grab a Molly and snap their neck. Yeah, yeah, it was against regulations, killing people, but they deserved it! Screw not biting the hand that fed, he was going to tear that hand to ribbons!
He got control of himself and sighed, continuing down.]
Watch out here, there's some rocks, but they're not big.
no subject
You are distressed...my apologies for leaving you so suddenly. How have you fared? [Spock maneuvered around the rocks with his Captain's help...]
no subject
[They got through the rocks and the going was smoother from there, Kirk picking up the pace a little bit, but not much.]
And I've been... I've been fine. Just getting through things here, you know how it is. I've been trying to make contact with that healing spirit - Nala, or something like that.
no subject
[That piece of information got Spock's attention.] Indeed? W-what has b-been your level of success?
no subject
[They finally get to flat ground and he can straighten them some.]
We're almost home, Spock.
no subject
[Spock leans a little more onto his Captain... relief seeping into his voice...]
That..that is well Jim...
no subject
[He squeezed his hip and got them to their building and finally to their apartment. He got them inside and took Spock right to the bathroom.]
Come on, we need to warm you up, I think. How's a shower sound? Or a bath, since I think standing might be beyond you.
no subject
However... Vulcan's are not huge fans of water...]
I would prefer to get quickly clean in the shower Captain... and leave getting warmth to the blankets...
Will you turn on the water? I believe I can handle it from here... [...or so he thinks...]
no subject
I'll go get some blankets, and then I'll be outside the door if you need me, okay?
no subject
He is slow, but he manages to clean up... however, when the water is turned off he starts to feel around the bathroom...
He does manage to find a towel though.]
C-captain? Can you help me to my room? [Spock hated being vulnerable like this... however, it will all be better once he had rested...]
no subject
God, the other was blind. Blind.
Not that that made him a cripple, but Jesus, it wasn't like he'd been born blind...
When Spock called he opened the door and padded in, taking his elbow gently.]
Yeah, come on. I put out some clothes on your bed too. Do you want me to burn the ones you came in or attempt to wash them?
no subject
There was no use trying to save them.
Spock allowed himself to be lead to his room... he stepped confidently away from his Captain.... only to trip and fall flat on his face from the bed corner....]
no subject
[He sighed and came over, like it was a big deal, when honestly he was very worried. He got the other under his warms and helped him up, putting the Vulcan against the side of the bed at least, near the clothing he had laid out.]
Look, go ahead and dress and then just... stand there till I get back. I don't need you bleeding out.
no subject
My thanks Captain... I will await your return. [Spock waited until Jim left.. felt for the clothes, and quickly changed.
He was a burden.
This would not do...]
no subject
Licking his lips he went to the kitchen and got out a glass, filling it with juice, and brought it back into the bedroom.]
Here, I brought you some juice, to make you feel better.
no subject
His head turned in the direction of the voice, however, he was not able to react accordingly to the beverage offer....
Spock lifted his hand...]
My thanks Captain... you will have to place it in my hand..... [Spock... really disliked being vulnerable...]
Is he still blind during Loki's party?
[He came over, pressing the glass into said hand, and fairly sure the other could figure what to do with it from there. Still, he staid by his side, taking a seat on the edge of the bed and, out of nervousness he supposed, smoothing out the covers Spock had pulled around himself, tucking them gently.]
You're sure you don't need me to get Adele or someone? I mean, I don't think they can fix your eyes, but the rest of you...
Yup, and until after New Years~ XD
