Intro Log - Voice/Action

[Illogical does not even begin to characterize the situation that Spock has found himself in. Approximately 2.4 minutes ago he was on the bridge of the USS Enterprise, and through some, as of yet unexplained phenomenon taking no time at all, (possibly through some spacial anomaly or undetected ion storm) suddenly appeared inverted in a tree... Current conditions also leave much to be desired. Spock's Vulcan physiology requires higher temperatures, and proper garments for optimal comfort... the forest in which he is now located has a lower than optimal temperature, and coupled with the disappearance of his Uniform and thermal wear he finds himself rather... cold. Though, perhaps it is fortuitous that he appeared in clothes at all... the white pants will have to suffice.
Upon his initial assessment, and descent from the tree, he was amazed to see an alteration to his physical person]

...Fascinating.

[Spock cards his fingers through the feathered protrusions located in the area of his scapula. Since he could feel a rather curious sensation through manual stimulus of the ...wings, Spock can safely assume they are indeed his newly acquired appendages. He could not fail to notice that his wings are the same ebony color his hair is.
Taking in his surroundings, Spock could hear the sound of running water close by... but nothing significant that could give him evidence of his location. The terrain was similar to that of Earth, however, there was 'something' about them that Spock could not quite explain that told him 'no, this is not Earth'...
As he was about to venture towards the water in hopes of finding civilization, something catches his attention... it appears to be some form of recording device located at the base of the tree in which he just descended from. Picking up the device he also notices that it has his name on it and it appears to be active. Curious... This proves that he was indeed sent here on purpose. But why?
Spock finally decides to speak out loud.]

Greetings, I am Spock. Is there a conscious form of life out there that can tell me my current location?
redjacketthief: (it came out...?)

Spock...
redjacketthief: @ narben (unsure-- what?)

Arsene Lupin III. Aren't you a little young?

"Hello, there. You are, at present, in a world outside of your own reality, as are the rest of us.

Tell me, can you see any landmarks?"
consultsdetective: (Sherlock Holmes is a great man.)

[ First he meets Luke Skywalker, now Mister ruddy Spock is popping out of the woodwork. He was never very big on the science fiction, but still. ]

Don't worry, you're likely to hear from more than you can figure what to do with. We've got a very accommodating welcome wagon.
antivanleather: (bitch please)

[Another clearing, another trap waiting for him not far from the stream- but once again there seems to be someone in the pants given to every fresh villager poking about the provided journal. Zev was about to pass by them without saying anything but- those ears.

They're not quite elf ears, but they are most certainly not human ears.

Odd.]

You seem a bit out of place, here.
redjacketthief: (dunno if i got that)

It's the second one--and no, we haven't met. Just...be prepared for more commentary like that in the future. You're something of an icon to many people here. Or, well, you will be when you're older.

[Awkward fanboying. It was his job, and how he became friends with a few other people in the enclosure.]

Anyway, do you see any kinds of landmarks where you're at? A river? A lake?
averybadfeeling: (Communicating)

"Within this enclosure, you are safe enough from physical harm, but..."

[He trails off.]

"It's a long story. Follow the stream away from the lake and it should bring you to a small village. It's a rather extensive hike, however."
heartisabattleground: (wait what?)

Conscious...form of life? Uhhhh....

[Give him a moment.]

Yeah, there's a whole bunch of people here.

"Very well. I'll be standing by."
redjacketthief: (stealthy--on radio)

[If 'meddling' is defined as 'starring in a classic television show', then Spock's concerns were well founded.]

I hope you like to walk, because you have a ways to go. Follow it upstream and you'll find our village. It's the only one around here that's in easy access, so you can't miss it.
redjacketthief: (-glasses- thoughtful)

[voice]

[personal profile] redjacketthief 2012-09-12 03:38 am (UTC)(link)
[He'll try.]

You're more than welcome, but you don't need to cut the feed so fast. You have a good hour or so ahead of you. I can answer some of your questions as you're walking, if you want a diversion.
redjacketthief: (casual-- bored)

[personal profile] redjacketthief 2012-09-12 03:48 am (UTC)(link)
[Conversely, Lupin settled back in his hammock, determined to figure out where the best place to meet the Vulcan was.]

You mean the wings?

They're mostly useless, unfortunately. You can't fly with them, and they're really annoying. Even so, you don't want to mess with them too much. Completely removing both of them from the body can be fatal, and we haven't yet figured out why that works.

Some people suspect that they're responsible for making foreign languages automatically intelligible. We have people from many different worlds and cultures here, so any kind of translation effect helps.
heartisabattleground: (Salute!)

Uh, Sora, sir!

Oh, it's quite friendly, for the most part. We're in the same boat with the wings and the barrier, yeah? It's only right to be helpful.
