Personal Log #12 - Planning [Video]
[Spock fiddles with the journal for a moment, making certain that the message is broadcast to everyone but Nico Robin.]
Greetings and salutations everyone. It is my hope that everyone has recovered from the latest Malnosso experiment, as from what I heard from others, I do not envy your experiences.
At this time, I find myself with a request for those of you who are familiar with Miss Nico Robin. It has come to my attention that due to recent events, Miss Robin's emotional disposition has greatly suffered, and it is my wish to see it improved. From what I understand of various cultural habits, it is common to utilize various festive activities to improve emotional morale. These activities should consist of conditions that are agreeable to Miss Robin, so if there is anyone who is aware of what Miss Robin enjoys, please inform me as soon as you can.
I am asking for assistance in planning this gathering... I believe the proper term is 'party'? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, as well as refraining from telling Miss Robin about this.
The time and location for this gathering will soon be disclosed.
[Spock lifts his hand in a Ta'al.]
Peace and long life.

Re: [Action]
My apologies Miss Elizabeth. I hope I have not overwhelmed you.
[Then again, it could have been worse. He could have shown her the Enterprise.]
[Action]
[She turns back to Spock.] I just wish I could see it all.
Re: [Action]
In an attempt to occupy my time, I have here programmed every planet, star and nebula that I have come across while serving on the Starship Enterprise. If you wish it, I can give you access to these files so that you can peruse them in this simulation room at your leisure.
[Because Elizabeth's level of curiosity? There was no way he was going to deny her more knowledge.]
[Action]
Is the Starship Enterprise your, ah, space ship, then? Forgive the simple term...
Re: [Action]
[Spock hesitates for a moment... ]
Would you like to see it? The Enterprise?
[Action]
Yes! Does it look anything like an X-Wing?
[Because she learned how to fly one of those.]
Re: [Action]
You have been speaking with Mister Skywalker.
[Spock starts to press more buttons on his Padd... because of course he's attached it remotely to the Dome.]
[Action]
Re: [Action]
Considering the time that you are from, I must admit the fact you were able to fly a space craft is very impressive.
[Spock looks up as the image around them changes once more. They are no longer on a dark, grassy plain.... but on the pristine white bridge of the Enterprise.
The viewscreen at the front showed a multitude of stars whizzing by...]
Welcome to my... home.
[Because that's what it was.]
[Action]
[Elizabeth trails off as the setting changes and her mouth hangs open. It's like she's in a Jules Verne novel, but so much better. Immediately, she starts looking at the various readouts on the consoles--and of course she can't understand them, but they're interesting nonetheless. And there are lights in the floor and space outside and--]
You live here? [She turns around, spotting what looks like a set of doors.] It's bigger than this. How big is this space ship? [She knows it has to be huge. This is space travel, and there were so many places to sit, everyone had to sleep somewhere.]
Re: [Action]
[Spock goes over to a console, and presses a button... and the viewscreen switches from moving stars to a set of schematics of the Enterprise.]
We are currently here...
[Spock points to a small spot at the top, and near the middle of the saucer part of the ship.]
There are three hundred and twenty four personnel that work on this ship at any given time.
[It's been awhile since he's shown anyone around his simulations... especially those of the Enterprise. It feels good, but a bit homesick. Well, that was impossible, Vulcans don't get homesick.]
[Action]
[It looks absolutely nothing like an X-Wing, and Elizabeth loves that. So many different ways to build something, so many different interpretations.]
Only three hundred and twenty-four? I would think you'd need five hundred at least to cover the entire ship! It's massive! [She grins, then turns back to Spock.] But I suppose if three hundred and twenty-four people live on this ship, a little space every once in a while goes a long way.
Re: [Action]
You are certainly correct. The Enterprise... is comfortable.
[This is the type of conversation Spock's not used to, because it's bordering on feelings.
Instead, he ducks his head and focuses on his Padd once more... and the scene around them changes back to the bright, grassy plain.]
Perhaps that demonstration?
[Action]
[But, yes, they were there for another purpose!] Oh, of course! Sorry I, get distracted by things that are new.
[Elizabeth puts the shirt down on the grass, spreading it out slightly. Stepping back, she takes a moment to breathe and feel for the tear. It's harder, she isn't upset right now. But eventually, she sees it.]
[A wrinkle forms between her furrowed eyebrows, and Elizabeth eases her fingers into the crack and starts pulling it apart like a pair of elevator doors.]
Re: [Action]
The Vulcan quickly gathers his tricorder, eager taking readings from the tear that Elizabeth opened.]
[Action]
[The opening widens over the shirt, engulfing it and creating a window into a static, gray world. But the grass is there, and so is an object that still looks like a shirt. It's hazy and surrounded by a blue ring. And when Elizabeth has a moment to look down and see that the tear has something behind it, she blows the tear open.]
[The hole, the light, the entire phenomenon vanishes. But there's a shirt there, still laying in the grass. It just looks slightly different....]
Re: [Action] Beautiful~
It's the final result though that has him most surprised, because he recognizes that uniform. He was aware of his older counterpart that had crossed from his timeline and into this one. This was his uniform, he was sure of it.]
Fascinating.
[Spock sounds slightly awed for a Vulcan.] Thank you Miss Elizabeth for this most impressive demonstration. You are truly remarkable.
[Action] I WAS SO EXCITED FOR THIS YOU HAVE NO IDEA. 8D
It's more impressive when I'm not here, to be honest. [She laughs a little.] I used to be able to change... entire fronts of buildings. I could create new worlds based on a new set of variables and step into them. Whatever device is being used to keep me under control... it's much stronger than anything I've experienced. [She indicates the slightly bloody handkerchief.]
Re: [Action] XD
This ability is detrimental to your health? You did not inform me... otherwise I would not have asked you for a demonstration.
Do you require medical assistance?
[Spock puts away his tricorder and not quite crowds Elizabeth.]
[Action]
Re: [Action]
This phenomenon happens to everyone in Luceti. It has been calculated that all powers, supernatural strengths and abilities have been cut in half. It is... most inconvenient.
[Spock picks up the shirt...] I believe this belongs to my counterpart. My universe was the victim of an alternate timeline... I am lead to believe that this is from the 'original'.
[Action]
[Elizabeth looks curiously at the shirt, frowning slightly. It didn't appear to have changed very much at all--but when Spock explains she looks very excited.] Really? Amazing! I thought I had just brought in the same shirt made of a different material. You know, coffee instead of tea, a blue towel instead of a white one... I haven't done something this complex in a while!
But you know, all universes are subject to alternate timelines. At least, according to the scientists who first discovered these tears. Yes, there are certain things that stay the same through every one--'constants'--but there are things that change--the variables. And they can change the world entirely.
Re: [Action]
[Spock's lips quirk in slight mirth. He found that he was rather enjoying Elizabeth's company. She was intelligent, and very eager to learn. Two qualities that were very important to the Vulcan.]
I am certain these readings will prove to be quite enlightening. However, I would suggest you refrain from trying too many of these tears if it is going to cause you physical harm...
[Spock furrows his brow...] You speak of the relative-state metatheory, or rather.... the multiple worlds theory, where all the possible outcomes of a quantum interaction are realised.
Someone recently suggested that Luceti is an unstable point where these possible outcomes cross and overlap. I am not sure I agree.
[Action]
He and his... sister, Rosalind Lutece, have done a lot of research into the theory of multiple worlds based on choice. I don't know if it's true, but they do have some perspective that I don't. Robert won't tell me everything just yet, though.
What's your opinion on Luceti, then?
Re: [Action]
[Spock almost smiles as he fiddles with the padd, once more changing the scenery to show stars.]
That would entirely depend on how much time you are willing to spend listening to me talk.
