Personal Log #5 - Action

[Spock gasped into consciousness and trembled at the biting cold. It took him a moment to realize that he was no longer on a metal, unforgiving examination table... but instead laying down in what felt like... snow. Fascinating.

His senses were completely off. The current date and time eluded him due to the number of occasions he had overcome to unconsciousness in the Malnosso's care...

Normally mental orientation would not be a problem...

...However, his current state of blindness left much to be desired.

He slowly stood, categorizing his physical condition, and found that his body was not cooperating as it should... he had to lean against a tree to retain balance. He ached all over. The Malnosso appeared curious towards his Vulcan physiology.... and went to great lengths to discover what they could. Spock shivered again as he recalled what they did to him. They had started with his fingers... running tests that involved pain tolerance and sense range.

They left the brain for last. Spock was successful in keeping them out of his Katra, a mental landscape containing his links...protecting what stability and bonds that he had left after his planet's devastation. However, it was his efforts in the end that now left him blind. In their enthusiasm, the Malnosso did not realize the extent of Vulcan stubbornness, so when threatening him with his eyesight did not work... they soon lost interest.

That left him in his current state.

Concentration was... difficult at the moment. There was too much pain. His Katra called out in an attempt to help him, but he did not know how successful that was. In the interim, Spock assumed that he was back in Luceti and started to walk forward... sensing the trees around him to use them for support.
He hoped someone would find him soon... He was without his uniform, and left once again in only a pair of pants. This cold was quickly becoming too much for his Vulcan biology to withstand.]

[Feel free to meet Spock wandering, blind, and cold. He's out in the woods currently, but he'll eventually make it somewhere near the village. Enjoy~]

[It's not an uncommon thing for Rudy to be out in the woods, even despite this cold weather. The woods are cold for sure, but the fact it isn't as harsh as Arctica's terrain brings a bit of relief to him. Even with the rest of his home world not being as well acquainted with colder weather, it always pays to be well prepared no matter where you end up.

Imagine his surprise when he comes across someone else not only looking a bit lost, but barely equipped for this weather to boot! He's practically going to freeze to death like that, and Rudy wastes no time rushing up to him.]

H-Hey, you okay there?

[Oops. Rudy spots the older man jumping, pretty clearly startled. Maybe he should have approached a bit more carefully there.]

Whoa there, I didn't mean to startle you. [Defensively, Rudy waves his hands as to indicate he's not a threat.] My name's Rudy. What are you doing all the way out here, sir?

[From the other man's clothing (or more like lack of proper clothing), Rudy's first thought would have been a newcomer. But it's a bit strange; did they usually show up around this time?]

Blind...?

[Rudy repeats the word, grimly glancing off to the side as if recalling an unpleasant memory. ... They really don't show any sort of care for the people here at all, as evident by not just blinding someone but leaving them out exposed like this too. His frown deepens as his mind mulls over this, before snapping back to reality when realizing the other man just asked him a question.]

Ah, um-- Of course. Here, I'll guide you. [Carefully, Rudy approaches and gently places an arm around as to support the other man.] It shouldn't be too far back to the village.

Hey, don't mention it. S'good to meet you, Spock.

[As he leads Rudy casts a downward glance, pondering how to answer this question. He doesn't really want to unsettle Spock, but he'd be lying if he said it wasn't anything to worry about. Especially when both he and Cecilia have been kidnapped by the droids before.]

Um, sometimes. Not often, but... it does happen. But, well-- the side effects they leave don't seem to last too long, I don't think.

[If that helps? Well, there's some faint reassurance there. He looks back up to Spock, once again noting the lack of proper clothing.]

Still, I can't believe they'd just leave someone out here in the cold like this. ... Actually, can you hold on just a moment?

One second.

[Rudy, being Rudy, doesn't exactly pick up on Spock's confusion and instead lets go of the older man to remove his outer coat. It'd always been one size too big for him, but as far as Rudy saw he'd fit into it eventually.

But perhaps in this case it would be a better fit for Spock. ... If it fits, anyway. Either way, there's no way he could be comfortable standing out in this cold weather.]

You must be pretty cold, right? [He holds out the coat.] Take my coat. I'll help you put it on.
