[Spock was.... rather curious at the unexpected influx of individuals without wings...

In his mind, the Vulcan was making theories that included black holes, transporters, ion storms...It was frustrating that the nature of this world made it impossible to pin down any one theory.

Spock can be found traveling to the Dome in the morning, and working there for the rest of the day.
In the evening the Vulcan's curiosity gets the better of him and he stops by Seventh Heaven to see who all is there.]

Ah yes... the 'television series'... I have heard of this. [Spock sounded like he was not pleased by the findings.]

It is not to be compared to my universe.

Yea...figured it wasn't. Makes for some fun stories, and a bit of name recognition, but that's all.

But you are a Vulcan, right? From the Enterprise? Good name for a ship that, Enterprise. Very bold.

[Quatre nodded in acknowledgement at the gesture and entered the building.]

That's easy. Humanity started building industrial colonies in space.

The youngest crew in 'fleet history, under the orders of one Captain James Tiberius Kirk.

The Enterprise' maiden voyage was one point three years ago... under stressful conditions. [Good job Spock, way to understate...

That is most interesting Mister Winner... What was your occupation?

[Spock's curiosity was definitely piqued.]

My father is the CEO of a large mining corporation on the Lagrange 4 colony, where I was born. Though there's a war going on, he's made it a point to keep our industry out of arms manufacturing because he believes that fighting isn't the solution.

He's been very good to both his workers, the colonists, and even the competition. No one is overworked, and the prices remain among the lowest on the market.

It's quite a thing to do, given the political situation at home.

Ahh, yes, Captain Kirk!

[He raises an eyebrow]

What sort of stressful conditions, Spock? If you don't mind my asking. I love hearing a good story.

[Spock regards the Doctor for a moment and gestures to a table and chairs...

The Vulcan takes a seat.] Apparently the whole situation was my fault.

One hundred and sixty years in the future, the planet Romulus is in danger of complete destruction by its dying sun. Myself, with a team of Vulcans create a substance called Red Matter... it is an anti-matter substance that is similar to a black hole.

I was too late, and the planet was destroyed. [Spock had met his older counterpart... who had explained the situation to him.]

Romulus was gone... and in seeking revenge a mining faction set out to kill Ambassador Spock whose only chance of escape was to use the Red Matter to create a black hole, which transported both to the year 2230... Where the Romulans destroyed a ship which my held my Captain's father...

[Spock took a moment to collect his thoughts...]

That is... most curious.

It is unfortunate that the earth is still experiencing war.

[Spock approached the controls...]
Is there anything specifically you would like to see or do in the simulation?

It is, and I do hope that we can find a more peaceful way of resolving conflicts one day.

[The Time Lord joins Spock at the table, listening to the Vulcan's story in absolute attention. He's getting a story about Red Matter. Well, that's new. Something the Time Lords hadn't even done. Of course he had some idea of it, but his people had known better.

And as he gets on with the story, the Doctor just stays silent, not wanting to interrupt. Anyone else maybe, but this was Spock.]

Jim was born on an escape transport while his father died trying to take down the Romulan ship... to no avail.

The ship did not appear again until twenty five years later. There was a distress call from my home planet, Vulcan of seismic activity... The whole fleet went out to the call, the Enterprise' maiden voyage.

She would have been destroyed along with the rest of the fleet if not for the inexperience of our helmsmen. When we arrived, the ship was attacking Vulcan, drilling into its core because they now had in their possession the Red Matter...

[Spock's fingers, in an not so Vulcan move, started to trace the lines of the wooden table...] I managed to beam down to the planet in time to save most of the Vulcan high council... but I was not quick enough to save my mother who fell to her death before my eyes.

Vulcan was consumed by the black hole, and I was emotionally compromised. Our Captain, Christopher Pike, was captured by the Romulans, and left me in charge...I nearly killed my Captain when I forced him off the ship...

Incidentally he met my older counterpart... The Romulans left him there so that he could watch his planet be destroyed in justification for their own planet.

If you are aware of the antics of James Tiberius Kirk, you would know that in a most... fascinating turn of events, he made it back to the ship... relieved me of being Captain, and destroyed the Romulan ship whose new destination was Earth.

[Spock skimmed over the details...] I am now living in an alternate timeline... an altered universe in which two versions of me live.

[Spock finally looked up at the Doctor... looking to see his reaction...]

You there! With the pointy ears! You seem an intelligent sort!

[Have a rather dishevelled and thoroughly imbalanced-looking doctor, Spock.]

Tell me, who is the leader of this paltry settlement, that I might begin my conquest of this world?

[Have an eyebrow raise...]

[A baby phoenix is sitting on top of one of the tables, chirping occasionally, and trying to look adorable in order to get pets out of gullible people. It's still trolling, if in a slightly more innocent fashion. In any case, for now, he's just finishing off the last of his sandwich and green tea. And then looks up at the Vulcan. HI.]

[Spock nods and goes to the programming console...

A door finally opens...]

Marco? [The Vulcan sits at the table....] Are you... well? You appear to have regressed in age...

[The Vulcan was slightly concerned.]

[He didn't need a second prompt to step through the door and into the simulation that was Mister Spock's project.]

I am Insano! Your future ruler!

[And with that, he begins cackling.]

[Spock regards him for a moment....]
