Intro Log - Voice/Action

[Illogical does not even begin to characterize the situation that Spock has found himself in. Approximately 2.4 minutes ago he was on the bridge of the USS Enterprise, and through some, as of yet unexplained phenomenon taking no time at all, (possibly through some spacial anomaly or undetected ion storm) suddenly appeared inverted in a tree... Current conditions also leave much to be desired. Spock's Vulcan physiology requires higher temperatures, and proper garments for optimal comfort... the forest in which he is now located has a lower than optimal temperature, and coupled with the disappearance of his Uniform and thermal wear he finds himself rather... cold. Though, perhaps it is fortuitous that he appeared in clothes at all... the white pants will have to suffice.
Upon his initial assessment, and descent from the tree, he was amazed to see an alteration to his physical person]

...Fascinating.

[Spock cards his fingers through the feathered protrusions located in the area of his scapula. Since he could feel a rather curious sensation through manual stimulus of the ...wings, Spock can safely assume they are indeed his newly acquired appendages. He could not fail to notice that his wings are the same ebony color his hair is.
Taking in his surroundings, Spock could hear the sound of running water close by... but nothing significant that could give him evidence of his location. The terrain was similar to that of Earth, however, there was 'something' about them that Spock could not quite explain that told him 'no, this is not Earth'...
As he was about to venture towards the water in hopes of finding civilization, something catches his attention... it appears to be some form of recording device located at the base of the tree in which he just descended from. Picking up the device he also notices that it has his name on it and it appears to be active. Curious... This proves that he was indeed sent here on purpose. But why?
Spock finally decides to speak out loud.]

Greetings, I am Spock. Is there a conscious form of life out there that can tell me my current location?

[Spock hasn't tried to fold them underneath a suit jacket yet. They made it hard to achieve the clean lines that a suit grants its wearer, and that fact alone bothered Lupin. He had been there long enough to adapt, but it was still a lingering disappointment.]

We know how we came to this particular enclosure--Luceti, if no one answered that yet--but we don't know how we came to this world. The Malnosso, an organization outside of the enclosures that brings us to the individual villages, says that the world itself brings us here for whatever reason. We don't know it yet.

We're mostly humanoid here, Spock, but we're all from very different realities. Even the ones who claim Earth as their home aren't necessarily from the same Earth.

No? I mean I helped serve in the Chinese army once to defend against the huns but that was about it. But sort of. I only got here a few days ago, Spock. Apparently it pulls people from other worlds here. It's not like any world I've been to.

[video] GOTTA DO IT MAN ITS NECESSARY

[Luke responds to this feed as he would any other New Feather, though he takes note of the man's ear structure. He's not human, that much is certain.]

Good day to you Spock. My name is Luke Skywalker, and I regret to inform you that you are in another reality, in an enclosure called Luceti. I can help you find your way into the village, if you require assistance.

[Lupin frowned at the question--it was complicated.]

There are times when they are and times when they aren't. They're a bureaucratic organization with multiple departments, not all of which are in communication with each other. Some offer us missions to do work for them in exchange for compensation in the form of points that can be redeemed for items from home or their own specials. Others run annoying experiments periodically. The most recent one had floors turn into trampolines and left people walking on walls.

There's also a faction within the organization that kidnaps the residents for their own research or experimental purposes. The people, when they return, are often left with a strange condition. I had a friend turn into a cat once because of that...and an aquaintance of mine was recently forced to play the starring role in Sleeping Beauty.

Yes. [ As far as he's concerned, it's exactly that simple. It's a habit. ] I'm Greg Lestrade. Welcome to Luceti- we've got a scenic village, a very well-done guide I can show you to, and a history of being experimented on every so often.

...

[Oh lovely. A scholarly elf surrogate. Today would be a fun day, Zevran can tell.]

None of us belong here, not from what I have seen at any rate. As such none of us are truly local, but I do live in the village if that is what you mean to ask.
averybadfeeling: (Just wondering)

[Ah, good, he hadn't had too many difficulties. Obi-Wan grabs his cloak and his journal.]

"I'll be waiting for you at the edge of the village."

Yes, follow the stream east, you'll see a small village. I will be on the riverbank, heading west to meet you.

[Luke nods at the camera, flashing a salute to the other man, leaving behind a fishing pole. You interrupted his fishing, but he doesn't mind. He's the helpful sort.]

Are you injured, or do you require any special medications?
heartisabattleground: (storm is coming)

All I really know that we've been kidnapped by the organization that runs this place. Uhhhh...Molassono i think it was called? Apparently they kidnap people sometimes somewhere else here and experiment on them.

I might be able to. Where are you right now?
redjacketthief: (-glasses- would you look at that?)

[personal profile] redjacketthief 2012-09-12 02:47 pm (UTC)(link)
A lot of things here are illogical. You can try to rationalize it, or you can go with it. Sometimes a combination of both works too.

There's a fountain in the town square--I'll be there shortly.

You're cold?

[Luke trots away from the village, and after a few moments, he spies a shirtless Vulcan. With a wave, he approaches]

You are Spock, yes?
averybadfeeling: (Pleasant Chat)

[New feather attire, coming from the forest, staying near the river?

This must be the fellow. Obi-Wan raises a hand in greeting.]

"Hello, there. Spock, wasn't it?"
