Intro Log - Voice/Action

[Illogical does not even begin to characterize the situation that Spock has found himself in. Approximately 2.4 minutes ago he was on the bridge of the USS Enterprise, and through some, as of yet unexplained phenomenon taking no time at all, (possibly through some spacial anomaly or undetected ion storm) suddenly appeared inverted in a tree... Current conditions also leave much to be desired. Spock's Vulcan physiology requires higher temperatures, and proper garments for optimal comfort... the forest in which he is now located has a lower than optimal temperature, and coupled with the disappearance of his Uniform and thermal wear he finds himself rather... cold. Though, perhaps it is fortuitous that he appeared in clothes at all... the white pants will have to suffice.
Upon his initial assessment, and descent from the tree, he was amazed to see an alteration to his physical person]

...Fascinating.

[Spock cards his fingers through the feathered protrusions located in the area of his scapula. Since he could feel a rather curious sensation through manual stimulus of the ...wings, Spock can safely assume they are indeed his newly acquired appendages. He could not fail to notice that his wings are the same ebony color his hair is.
Taking in his surroundings, Spock could hear the sound of running water close by... but nothing significant that could give him evidence of his location. The terrain was similar to that of Earth, however, there was 'something' about them that Spock could not quite explain that told him 'no, this is not Earth'...
As he was about to venture towards the water in hopes of finding civilization, something catches his attention... it appears to be some form of recording device located at the base of the tree in which he just descended from. Picking up the device he also notices that it has his name on it and it appears to be active. Curious... This proves that he was indeed sent here on purpose. But why?
Spock finally decides to speak out loud.]

Greetings, I am Spock. Is there a conscious form of life out there that can tell me my current location?

A lot of things here are illogical. You can try to rationalize it, or you can go with it. Sometimes a combination of both works too.

There's a fountain in the town square--I'll be there shortly.

[Spock contemplates what Lupin said and stays silent. He reaches what seems to be the village proper. There are people walking around, and Spock is actually starting to feel uncomfortable with his state of undress... He locates the fountain and starts in that direction.]

[Spock wouldn't have to wait for too long in his state of undress, as he is easy enough to spot for Lupin. That hair style was unmistakable from a distance. He's not as fast as Spock, but still quick.]

Oi! Hello! [He waved eagerly as he approached with one of his own spare dress shirts in hand. There was no need for Spock to bear indignity for too long.]

[Spock notices the ...rather enthusiastic individual who must be Mister Lupin. He also notices the shirt that Lupin brought along with him.]

Greetings Mister Lupin. Thank you for allowing me the use of your garments.

[Spock puts on the shirt... though Lupin is approximately 5 inches shorter than he is... the arms and the length leave much to be desired. Spock is not sure if comparing the level of self-consciousnesses from having the shirt on or off is apt... however, he is warmer.]

[Spock observes Lupin once more... and notices something disparate..]

Tell me Mister Lupin, what manner of species are you?

['Mister Lupin.' Here was yet another man that he needed to break of that habit.]

You're more than welcome. It's rough arriving here without proper clothes. Don't worry, your's are in one of the shops that I'll be taking you to.

[He was of average height for a human and lanky. It was the reason he got his clothes custom tailored when he was at home. Suits in standard sizes didn't fit his arms or legs. He hadn't expected the shirt to be a proper fit, but it was only polite.

The question, however, was extremely curious.]

I'm human, from Earth. Why?

Indeed, it would be most fortunate to acquire my Uniform again.

[Spock considers Mister Lupin's answer... it must have been the haircut...]

As my Captain would say, I asked for 'curiosity's sake'. I would ask for you assistance once more Mister Lupin, would you help me locate my Uniform?

[It was a classic 1970s hairstyle, complete with sideburns. Lupin was rather fond of them, even though he was aware that the style was becoming dated.]

I'll help you locate more than your uniform. Your weapon and some of your tech should be in the village too. Probably not all of it, but it should be something you'll find useful.

[He nodded toward the shops on the other side of the plaza.]

Come on, they're not far.

[To use another term, the situation seemed to be 'looking up' for Spock. He follows alongside Mister Lupin and takes in his surroundings.]

This place seems rather...peaceful...

[It was unsurprising, given their relative difference in height.]

It's like that at first, until we have one of those experiments I told you about. They're mostly annoying, but otherwise? It's like a small village in the Alps.

Fascinating.

[Spock quickly looks over the information he was provided with in the device...journal.]

Housing... I am curious. Is it required that I live with someone?

[Lupin glanced over and smiled. It seemed like someone had directed Spock to the Guide. That was less work for Lupin in the long run.]

Not necessarily. A lot of people choose to live with someone, but it's not across the board. Sometimes it's just nice to have the company.

I am curious as to the likelihood of more beings appearing from my universe.

How many reside here at present?

It's possible. I've had my partners show up here all ready. Most of them have gone home, but one is still left. She's that much more important now.

We typically have a population between two and three hundred. It varies because of people being returned to their worlds. Every two months we have an influx of new comers. We call them New Feathers around here, mostly because it's cute. However, we have so much empty space in Housing that we can fit a few hundred more if we need to.

Are there science facilities located here? My entire life has been dedicated to research and learning, although that process never ceases, it would be convenient to have access to a lab.

Research can always be done if you know how to go about it. [He was an information geek himself, though the information he sought was of a less scientific sort.] The Battle Dome is our most high tech facility. I can take you there when we're done. Maybe we can work something out with Dr. Law so you can have some use of the tech in there.

Meanwhile...[He grinned.] We're here. Come on.

[He waved for Spock to follow as he entered the clothing shop.]

[Spock gives a mental 'sigh'... Ka'adith - What is, is. He will simply, as his Captain says, 'roll with it.']

I must once again thank you for your assistance, it has been greatly appreciated.

You're more than welcome, Spock. It's only fair, since we all entered the village in the same way. It's not easy to manage around here at first without a guide.

[Spock walks into the shop ahead of Mister Lupin... only to be faced with a rather significant 'pile' of merchandise. The variety was astounding...]

There is no form of currency here correct?

None, just good will and the occasional favor if you're working with someone. Everything is free in these shops. It's...kind of nice, from a certain viewpoint.

Your clothes should be somewhere in here.

[Though, with that mess, the garments might be harder to find than he anticipated.]

Indeed...

[The first items that Spock notices are his Starfleet issued boots....right next to a second pair a couple of sizes smaller.]

It would seem that either this establishment carries these particular boots in stock, or there is someone else here from my Universe.... The uniform shirts should be easier to locate.

[He peered over Spock's shoulder at the boots.]

...huh. Maybe someone else from your world is going to be coming in soon.

Perhaps.

[Spock stands from collecting his boots and notices a very significant colour of blue hanging from the racks. His uniform shirt is on a hanger along with his undershirt and regulation back pants.]

This is most satisfactory... Is there a possibility any of my gear came through?

This place can be good like that!

[Another gesture for Spock to follow.]

Your gear should be in the item shop just a few doors down. Can't guarantee that you'll find everything, but something should be there. Come on.

Allow me a moment to change.

[Spock looks to the back of the store, and does indeed see a 'changing room.' In short order he has locked himself away.... It takes longer than expected. It isn't long before there are 'bangs' sounding from changing room.]

[The odd 'bangs' concern Lupin enough that he beelined for the fitting room.]

Spock? You okay in there?
