Intro Log - Voice/Action

[Illogical does not even begin to characterize the situation that Spock has found himself in. Approximately 2.4 minutes ago he was on the bridge of the USS Enterprise, and through some, as of yet unexplained phenomenon taking no time at all, (possibly through some spacial anomaly or undetected ion storm) suddenly appeared inverted in a tree... Current conditions also leave much to be desired. Spock's Vulcan physiology requires higher temperatures, and proper garments for optimal comfort... the forest in which he is now located has a lower than optimal temperature, and coupled with the disappearance of his Uniform and thermal wear he finds himself rather... cold. Though, perhaps it is fortuitous that he appeared in clothes at all... the white pants will have to suffice.
Upon his initial assessment, and descent from the tree, he was amazed to see an alteration to his physical person]

...Fascinating.

[Spock cards his fingers through the feathered protrusions located in the area of his scapula. Since he could feel a rather curious sensation through manual stimulus of the ...wings, Spock can safely assume they are indeed his newly acquired appendages. He could not fail to notice that his wings are the same ebony color his hair is.
Taking in his surroundings, Spock could hear the sound of running water close by... but nothing significant that could give him evidence of his location. The terrain was similar to that of Earth, however, there was 'something' about them that Spock could not quite explain that told him 'no, this is not Earth'...
As he was about to venture towards the water in hopes of finding civilization, something catches his attention... it appears to be some form of recording device located at the base of the tree in which he just descended from. Picking up the device he also notices that it has his name on it and it appears to be active. Curious... This proves that he was indeed sent here on purpose. But why?
Spock finally decides to speak out loud.]

Greetings, I am Spock. Is there a conscious form of life out there that can tell me my current location?

[ohgod]

Y... yes! I'd- [love to] -be happy to help any way I can. I'll be waiting outside.

[AND HE'LL WAIT THERE ALL DAY IF HE HAS TO.]

[Billy, for his part, is trying not to be a complete spazz while he waits, but he's obviously fidgeting as he hangs out on a bench under a large oak tree just outside the building. He stands up when Spock gets close enough to see, lifting a hand to wave him over.

Oh god he's meeting freaking Spock, seriously?]

Hey, uh- I'm Billy, from the journal. [Lame. So lame.] Nice to meet you?
selfhelp: ([billy] oh there you are)

the sad/awesome thing is he WOULD wear it for that reason

[personal profile] selfhelp 2012-09-23 08:59 am (UTC)(link)
[Wow, that was- he's really- authentic. Billy blinks back his surprise once more and lifts a hand to mimic it like he'd been doing it for years. (Which he has. Since he was nine.)]

Actually, yeah- we could go to the restaurant if you want, or just inside- [He gestures back towards the building.] I've got food in the apartment.
selfhelp: ([billy] my parents would kill me.)

[...Wow, did he seriously just get Spock to come over for lunch.

He's. Not sure what to think about that. But he somehow manages not to completely lose it, gesturing for Spock to follow.]

Don't worry about it. We're all kind of in the same boat here, so it makes sense to help each other. So you've learned all about the place, then?
selfhelp: ([billy] oh... you're serious.)

[personal profile] selfhelp 2012-09-26 02:52 am (UTC)(link)
[Aaaauuuuugh it's like he stepped right out of the movie. How cool is that?]

Me? Just over four months now. It's hard to believe that it's been so long already... time really does fly whether you're having fun or not.
selfhelp: ([billy] but cap said...)

[personal profile] selfhelp 2012-09-27 09:26 am (UTC)(link)
[Billy pauses just long enough to glance over his shoulder, his expression basically amounting to "are you for real?" before he shrugs it off and continues forward.]

You mean about it standing still back home while we're here? We're stuck in some kind of world-wide time loop, or an alternate dimension, or something. We don't have many answers.
selfhelp: ([billy] some serious thinking)

[personal profile] selfhelp 2012-09-28 03:26 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, this is home sweet home. Welcome aboard the Starship Kaplan. Oh, and I've got a few people from home, too. It's kind of randomized.
selfhelp: ([billy] mrrghgrmgghfff.)

bwahahaha

[....good grief.]

No, it's not- it's just a phrase. Sorry, my apartment is just my apartment, no space travel functions available.
selfhelp: ([billy] I don't hate it.)

[personal profile] selfhelp 2012-09-29 10:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh god, you are going to have a field day with me. Apologies in advance.

[A teenager who practically breathes sarcasm and a no-nonsense Vulcan having lunch. Well.]

Well, I was thinking something simple, like sandwiches. I'll get the ingredients out, and you can just put whatever you want on yours. How's that sound?
selfhelp: ([billy] oh there you are)

[personal profile] selfhelp 2012-10-02 02:17 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, yeah- it's tough on a lot of people because there's not as much technology here. Honestly, all you can really do is try to get used to it, find a hobby that suits you. Actually... do you have a holodeck in your time? Or some other way to create simulations?
selfhelp: ([billy] dinner with the folks)

[personal profile] selfhelp 2012-10-03 08:06 am (UTC)(link)
Basically, yeah. It works the same. I use that a lot to remind myself of home.

uhhhh sure?
