[Illogical does not even begin to characterize the situation that Spock has found himself in. Approximately 2.4 minutes ago he was on the bridge of the USS Enterprise, and through some, as of yet unexplained phenomenon taking no time at all, (possibly through some spacial anomaly or undetected ion storm) suddenly appeared inverted in a tree... Current conditions also leave much to be desired. Spock's Vulcan physiology requires higher temperatures, and proper garments for optimal comfort... the forest in which he is now located has a lower than optimal temperature, and coupled with the disappearance of his Uniform and thermal wear he finds himself rather... cold. Though, perhaps it is fortuitous that he appeared in clothes at all... the white pants will have to suffice.
Upon his initial assessment, and descent from the tree, he was amazed to see an alteration to his physical person]

...Fascinating.

[Spock cards his fingers through the feathered protrusions located in the area of his scapula. Since he could feel a rather curious sensation through manual stimulus of the ...wings, Spock can safely assume they are indeed his newly acquired appendages. He could not fail to notice that his wings are the same ebony color his hair is.
Taking in his surroundings, Spock could hear the sound of running water close by... but nothing significant that could give him evidence of his location. The terrain was similar to that of Earth, however, there was 'something' about them that Spock could not quite explain that told him 'no, this is not Earth'...
As he was about to venture towards the water in hopes of finding civilization, something catches his attention... it appears to be some form of recording device located at the base of the tree in which he just descended from. Picking up the device he also notices that it has his name on it and it appears to be active. Curious... This proves that he was indeed sent here on purpose. But why?
Spock finally decides to speak out loud.]

Greetings, I am Spock. Is there a conscious form of life out there that can tell me my current location?

Of course; I don't mind at all. It isn't far from here - hurry. [She takes longer, quicker steps; though she's still careful to keep a pace Spock won't have any trouble keeping to.]

[Spock keeps up with her and stays with her pace out of military habit.]

Are we nearing the establishment?

It's just ahead there. [She quickens her pace still more, to get out of the damp ~~before they both catch colds~~. As soon as she arrives and slips inside, she pauses in the doorway to brush some of the water from her clothes.]

[Spock gives a noticeable shiver as he enters the shop. Unfortunately, he has nothing in which to wipe himself off. And he looks about as happy as a wet cat.]

[Towel, towel... There must be something they could use...

She picks up what seems to be an old shirt.]

Here; this should be alright to dry off with for now. I can wash it later when we're finished here. [She holds it out to Spock in both hands.]

[Spock takes the shirt and dries himself off.] My thanks to you.

[Spock starts to wander down one isle of clothing...]

[Spock grabs a jacket and puts it on for the time being...]

They are. It may seem strange, but so far that system has worked. [No one's really tried hoarding... and equally, no one's really tried to create a stable economy.]

Fascinating. Terra is attempting to establish such a system that is separate from monetary gain. To instead rely on the combined effort of the entire civilization towards a common goal. It has been difficult, but I believe that it will one day be possible.
However, we still use credits.

[Spock looks around for a moment then looks at Miss Mizuno]

.... I must thank you Miss Mizuno for your assistance, but I would be remiss to keep you any longer. Perhaps we shall meet at a later date?

[No, that is fascinating, that a civilization on a large scale could accomplish the same. She's worked under the assumption that it works in Luceti because of the small number of inhabitants. It would be harder to feel removed from the people being hurt if someone were to hoard necessities, for example.]

I don't mind, but you probably want to get somewhere dry and change your clothes. Do you have somewhere you're staying yet?

I believe arrangements are being made for my housing. There is evidence that members from my universe 'landed' in Luceti not long ago. I thank you for your concern.

I'll leave you in their care, then. Even though none of you should have to be here, you're fortunate to have each other.

[Spock hesitates at Miss Mizuno's answer....]

[But Ami nods, and even has a smile.]

For a long time, I didn't. A lot of things happened back then, and I wasn't in a position to make friends easily.

But I made friends here, and some of my friends from home have also been here at times. [She's been here a very long time herself, enough to see people come and go with alarming regularity.]

Right now, my friend Rei-chan from home is here, too.

Perhaps when things have settled and I have located my Captain we can meet each other again?

[She warms to that slightly formal politeness, and smiles.]
