[Action: October 23rd]
[When Syre made it to Good Spirits, she was expecting Luke and his date to have already been there, waiting for her and Spock -- but they weren't. So, she had taken a seat at a table, and waited for the three of them by herself.]
[One minute because two, then five, then fifteen. Something in the pit of the Ecliptian's stomach twisted, and a faint realization dawned:]
[Luke and his date weren't going to show.]
[When Spock shows up, he'll likely find the Ecliptian looking about impatiently, her fingers drumming against the table.]
Re: [Action: October 23rd]
Illogical.
He had no idea who he was meeting... however, the red rose he was carrying was supposed to alert his other 'date' of his presence... apparently.
Spock entered the bar, a rather imposing figure in his black teaching uniform contrasted greatly with the red of the rose.
He walks slowly around the tables, garnering odd looks from the other patrons.
No matter.
Spock does notice Lady Syre...

[Well, I'm sure he'll figure it out, she muses internally.]
[As her date drew nearer to the table, she pulls out a rose of her own from the pocket of her dress suit, meeting his eyes with a smile and the faintest hint of a pink blush on her cheeks.]

Lady Syre? Mister Skywalker had paired him with Lady Syre? Spock did not know if this would be an issue... as he was already attracted to her but on a non-romantic level.]
[Spock gracefully bows at her side and presents her with the rose.]
Lady Syre, I believe this is for you. And may I say that this is a surprise.

[Her smile widens, and she folds her hands neatly on the table.]
Though I am... disappointed to say that our ever-so-eager matchmakers have decided to leave us to our own devices. [A chuckle.]

[Spock tilts his head in a shy gesture.] I am not used to such situations.
no subject
Nor am I, truthfully. I have never had the time to pursue anything other than work-related friendships.
[She turns back to Spock, her expression still quite nervous.]
Perhaps we should treat this as we would any other interaction, yes? After all, we have spoken in much more formal circumstances.
no subject
Indeed.
How are you Lady Syre? [Spock gives her a friendly, yet pointed look. He is a Vulcan, leave it to him to get straight to the point.]

<3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 `~^_^~
[Spock gives her another look....] Were you able to acquire any sleep after I left your residence? You did not contact me, so I presumed that everything went well.
<3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 c:
[At the question, Syre laughs shyly.] Well, you see... I did not wake up for quite some time after that. I had slept for nearly two whole days! [She laughs again.] My body has strange ways of recuperating, it seems.
Re: <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 :3
[Spock regards Syre with curiosity...]
Not at all... You had obviously deprived yourself of much needed sleep and sustenance for several days. It stands to reason that you slept for so long.
I must admit, that you had me concerned.
\(♥u♥)/
[She fixes her gaze on him for a bit, then laughs softly -- the sound is almost like a disbelieving scoff.]
You had no reason to worry, Spock. I have, admittedly, performed similar stints in the past.
Re: \(♥u♥)/ <--that is cute. XD
Be that as it may, I would suggest that you attempt to take better care of yourself in the future.
Granted... my own response to traumatic events leave much to be desired.
Hence why I used it!
[A laugh.] But the Malnosso seem to throw little irritations my way on a whim.
XD
[Spock hesitates for a moment.] May I inquire as to why you feel you need to... further damage yourself when you are in moments of stress? I apologise if this is a question of a personal nature that would be considered 'prying'. However... I am merely trying to understand.
:3
[At Spock's question, Syre looks away, as though contemplating the proper words to use.]
It is a... coping mechanism of mine, in a way. A habit that has been long ingrained in my mental processes.
'If there is an issue that cannot be solved, then one must work until a solution is found.'
[A pause.] I am not trying to make an excuse for my behavior, however. I know it is potentially harmful; I simply know no other methods through which I can adjust.
<3
[Spock hesitates for another moment... he was reluctant to ask this...]
What of the notes you had up not long ago? They resembled something of alchemy... and looked to be an experiment involving the mind.
<3 ^_^
You would be correct. It does indeed alchemy; I am wanting to create a non-organic construct to serve as an assistant and a caretaker in times of distress.
It has been a goal of mine for... a long, long time.

Vulcan's have a mental capability that allows for them to preserve their memory, or their essence, in a vessel or another being... This 'essence' is call a Katra.... It would be comparable to a 'soul' in human terms. However, to separate a Vulcan from their memories is no easy feat. For the Malnosso to have established this makes me wonder what 'power' they have in their possession.
It is possible that they are dealing with energies that are connected to this world.
Though that may go without saying... I however believe that this world is much more than organic material.
