If you wish to meet with me at a scheduled time and place, I would not be opposed to that idea.
Ensure that all details are manifest.

10/8--evening

(ooc: continued from here)

[Lupin noticed that surprise just from a subtle change in Spock's tone. Being able to read the Vulcan so well would forever baffle Lupin.]

My mother was Japanese, and so are most of my friends. I spend as much time in Tokyo as I do Rio or Barcelona, and it's hard not to pick up some regional quirks. It just gets too hot for a suit in the summer, so a yukata is the way to go if you want to be covered but comfortable.

[He slowed his chattering when they entered his flat, and Lupin took a deep breath. The idle cigarette, now barely more than a stub, was snuffed out in a nearby saucer that he was using as a temporary ash tray.]

Go on ahead and get yourself settled. I'll be with you in a minute.

[The windows needed to be opened while it was still warm enough to do so, and he needed to find the yukata in question.]

10/12 late evening

[The warmth and the steam of the natural springs in the mountains was a shocking change from the wind and the chill that had blown in with the front in the middle of the week. The subtle change in pressure had gotten to Lupin then, though he had managed to keep the worst of the spins at bay with just taking his time, and he wondered when the change in altitude would get him over this trip. He hadn't tested this factor at all over the last few months, and was starting to question the wisdom of that decision.

Regardless, they were there in the changing room.

Lupin sat on a bench with his eyes closed and willed his focus to clear after that trip through the teleporter. The jump had thrown him off, like prior experiences with teleporting had before. His efforts were only partly effective, but he was in a closed environment with a person who knew the details.

...had been in his head.

He still wasn't sure how comfortable he was with his level of bonding with Spock, but it was there. He could deal.

Just like he could deal with a little dizziness.]

Hey, Spock. You ready?

[Not that there was much to get ready for. All that they needed to do was strip and rinse off, but 'being ready' was more than just physical. After the last few weeks, Lupin wasn't going to push Spock for a while.]

Spock, I have been in contact with Luke. We shall meet next Tuesday in the afternoon. I propose at your house, as you've the lab there.

- Loki

(OOC: And of course Loki will be a no-show for that since he'll have just gotten back from a horrible mallynapping. Scheduling fail. /facepalm)

(I let Parker know about this thread; Ami's player is overwhelmed with stuff at the moment -- but they're willing to do a thread for a later double date, if anything.)

[When Syre made it to Good Spirits, she was expecting Luke and his date to have already been there, waiting for her and Spock -- but they weren't. So, she had taken a seat at a table, and waited for the three of them by herself.]

[One minute because two, then five, then fifteen. Something in the pit of the Ecliptian's stomach twisted, and a faint realization dawned:]

[Luke and his date weren't going to show.]

[When Spock shows up, he'll likely find the Ecliptian looking about impatiently, her fingers drumming against the table.]

Spock? It's me... Marco. I'm... back to normal, eh? Well, as normal as I ever am, I mean.

I'm sorry about everything as... as I was. If you'd still like to talk, I'd really like that. Please call me back, okay?

Evening 3/9 - Meditation

[personal profile] universal_charm 2014-03-10 12:48 am (UTC)(link)
[ Kirk had slipped into a pair of sweat pants and a shirt, the usual attire he wore for both bed and for meditation. It had been awhile, and he thought he was over due. And after the... chocolate thing, well... maybe this was for the best. He seemed to get a grasp on things better when he meditated with Spock, and even though the whole thing had been about his feelings for Spock...

Okay, so it was complicated. Really complicated.

But maybe this would help, not to mention his nightmares had been getting stronger again and that wasn't a good sign. So he went to Spock's door and knocked gently, rocking back on his heels slightly as he waited for the Vulcan to respond. ]

Mr. Spock?

I'm sorry if this seems a little out of nowhere, but someone mentioned on Booker's journal that you knew how to induce sleep in people.

...Booker wouldn't say anything, but he can't sleep. He's having nightmares that he can't drink away, and I... I don't know how to help. And I want to help.

But if I got the wrong idea, I won't push. I'm just trying to find a way to help him.

Kirk had promised Spock he would take him out on the test ride of the bike - and he wasn't sure how many rides he would get out of it, since the fuel wasn't exactly going to be plentiful. But it had enough for a joy ride or two if he kept them short, he thought, and wait until he figured out an energy source or could convert the engine some more. For now, he had it restored to its old self.

But before that, he had something else he wanted Spock to do. He smirked as he placed the brown wrapped package on the dining table and sat down in one of the chairs on the opposite end of it.

"Spock! Would you come in here please?" he called.
