Personal Log #7

Greetings and salutations. I believe that it is customary for one to welcome those who are newly arrived into Luceti.

Welcome.

To those who have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask. I can be found regularly at the Battle Dome for those who want to learn to utilize the simulations.

A reminder to everyone that the Kobayashi Maru simulation has been tested and is ready for public use. I will express my thanks to Mister Obi-Wan Kenobi, Miss Ami Mizuno, and Miss Lirael for testing the program for me.

I also find myself requiring assistance for a project that I have agreed to.... though I find myself now at an impasse. I am currently working on a small scale version of projected diburnium-osmium shield technology... with some minor alterations. If anyone is familiar with this or is willing to help, please inform me.

Peace and long life.

[Action]

[Spock found himself once again frustrated by the recent memory lapse... for one who highly values mental discipline, it is... unnerving to find that your mind has been tampered with. However, Spock has long ago come to terms with this place and its disregard for dignity.

In the morning Spock can be found at the Dome by the computer terminals...but in the late afternoon strange, hauntingly beautiful music can be heard coming from House #2's backyard.
The Vulcan was pleased to have completed his Lyre, and was now enjoying an afternoon of practice.

In the evening, Spock actually ventures out to Seventh Heaven and can be found at a solitary table with a cup of tea.

Come and bother Spock at any and all of these locations.]

[Unbelievable. Just unbelievable. The Saiyan is not taking this well, and to top it all off Spock's coolness ground on his nerves even more, without a clue as to why it frustrated him so much. His face is a reflection of humiliation and anger. He'll shoot Spock a glare, before he further adjusts the gravity.]

No. If there is anything else, I'll let you know. [He had been watching Spock, and goes to turn the gravity to 300 times normal gravity before entering the chamber.] Now if you'll excuse me, I've got a lot of work ahead of me.
misterbrief: (so what did you really want)

so I guess the gravity can't go past 10x. Ewps, didn't know that

[Vegeta's just going to growl at Spock, as he enters the chamber- and he'll start up by transforming, hair suddenly turning gold and an enormous amount of energy bursts out from his core, emerald eyes looking back to glare one last time as the door shuts behind him. He'll be in there for a little bit, but Spock will be able to catch him leaving once he's done if he's sticking around that long.]

[Vegeta's a lot less angry now that he's worked out, but still rather irritated with the Vulcan at the moment. He looks over, turning his mouth up at the question.]

It went fine. [Twitch.] But these simulations are incredibly inadequate to my needs. It seems that even a rodent could complete most of them. Even in the increased gravity it's not much of a challenge.

Oh? [He's interested, but like hell if he'll say please again.] Well Spock, I'd be interested to see if you have any ideas for something more strenuous and challenging. Because that- [He points back to the room he'd just left-] was pathetic in comparison to what I'm used to.
misterbrief: (oh god no what)

[personal profile] misterbrief 2013-02-09 10:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Alter my...what? [Hands come up to pat his chest a few times; he kind of likes his body the way it is.]

No way! They should be designing better simulations, I shouldn't have to alter myself in order to get anything out of it! [Regardless, the concept was interesting.]

Alter in what way?
misterbrief: (don't think this changes anything)

[personal profile] misterbrief 2013-02-10 12:58 am (UTC)(link)
Hmpf. I could obliterate the entire mountain range in one blast if I wanted to. [Not that he would- only if he had to.] You couldn't pay me enough to genetically alter my body to repress any of my strength. That would be incredibly unwise in case of an attack or any other kind of emergency. Besides, do you even know if it will work correctly, and not become a permanent effect upon the subject?
misterbrief: (SSJ)

[personal profile] misterbrief 2013-02-10 01:32 am (UTC)(link)
Even at half strength I could level this entire enclosure without a single thought. I'm surprised that they omitted Saiyan strength out of your education, Spock.
misterbrief: (so what did you really want)

[personal profile] misterbrief 2013-02-10 01:55 am (UTC)(link)
And in what manner would I do so? I hope you're not suggesting something like a crossword puzzle or that other silly number game...Sudoku I believe it's called. Ridiculous.
misterbrief: (here comes the pain train)

[personal profile] misterbrief 2013-02-11 05:11 am (UTC)(link)
Meditation is very important to a warrior during his training. To prepare one's mind for the battle ahead is just as important as having the strength to crush your opponent. So honestly I think it's quite necessary to meditate. Now tell me why you would ask me about something like that?

[personal profile] misterbrief 2013-02-12 04:32 am (UTC)(link)
Thanks but no thanks. Don't assume just because I posses a large amount of power that my brain is one of my lesser used muscles. [He's just very unfamiliar with the Battle Dome controls!]
misterbrief: (hmmmm)

[personal profile] misterbrief 2013-02-13 03:14 am (UTC)(link)
Ugh. I'd rather have a training partner than subject myself to that. [Spock might not know it, but him wanting to train with someone else other than his son is saying something. And it sucks because he might need a partner here.] Again, thanks for the offer but I think I'll sit that one out.

[He's ready to leave, so he'll power down now- no need to stay in that form anymore.] Perhaps I'll have to start designing my own simulations then, since no one around here can do it.
misterbrief: (Listen I don't have time for this.)

[personal profile] misterbrief 2013-02-14 10:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, then maybe it needs to be figured out how to increase it. [He's completely been talking out of his ass on the subject.] You're a scientist. Doesn't the challenge interest you? Or is it too hard for your Vulcan brain?
