Personal Log #7
[Video]
Greetings and salutations. I believe that it is customary for one to welcome those who are newly arrived into Luceti.
Welcome.
To those who have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask. I can be found regularly at the Battle Dome for those who want to learn to utilize the simulations.
A reminder to everyone that the Kobayashi Maru simulation has been tested and is ready for public use. I will express my thanks to Mister Obi-Wan Kenobi, Miss Ami Mizuno, and Miss Lirael for testing the program for me.
I also find myself requiring assistance for a project that I have agreed to.... though I find myself now at an impasse. I am currently working on a small scale version of projected diburnium-osmium shield technology... with some minor alterations. If anyone is familiar with this or is willing to help, please inform me.
Peace and long life.
[Action]
[Spock found himself once again frustrated by the recent memory lapse... for one who highly values mental discipline, it is... unnerving to find that your mind has been tampered with. However, Spock has long ago come to terms with this place and its disregard for dignity.
In the morning Spock can be found at the Dome by the computer terminals...but in the late afternoon strange, hauntingly beautiful music can be heard coming from House #2's backyard.
The Vulcan was pleased to have completed his Lyre, and was now enjoying an afternoon of practice.
In the evening, Spock actually ventures out to Seventh Heaven and can be found at a solitary table with a cup of tea.
Come and bother Spock at any and all of these locations.]

Re: video;
Diburnium-osmium is a combination of two elements which are integral to the design of projection shields.
[Spock curiously looks at the small child....]
May I inquire as to your name?

Following it, soon enough, she found Spock. Rather than interrupt while he was in the middle of the piece, she stood quietly by the wall of the house and waited for him to finish first.]

Re: [voice]
There is a viewing area located on the second floor... you can utilize this area to observe other simulations in process. The medical center is also located in the Dome... it is managed by one Doctor Trafalgar Law. If you have suffered from any injuries, I would suggest you go there.

And he had also heard the other's earlier announcement, and he just couldn't resist. He really couldn't, because... it was the Kobayashi Maru!
He walked into the backyard, shaking his head.]
I really hope you set up the Kobayashi Maru to be winnable this time. That's what makes it attractive to TRY you know.

Negative... it is as it was. Perhaps other will follow 'in your footsteps' as it were. [Yes, Spock was still a bit upset over the results....
However, far be it from him to disagree with Starfleet council who had decided to award Jim with 'creative thinking'...]

[Forgive Robert for sounding a little confused.]
Ah... this is... an element I have n-not heard of... what is it like, and... how have you o-obtained it, here...?
Re: [Voice]
Diburnium-Osmium is an alloy used in my universe... these two metal elements allow for energy weapons to be reflected and dispersed. I have not been able to find any here...
...however I have been able to locate a suitable substitute in a magnetizing force and various aluminum alloys.

maybe the answer is to get a smaller table.
but while she's waiting for the order to be filled, she catches sight of the vulcan. boldly, she invites herself to his table and sits across from his familiar face. ]

Re: action.
Miss Summers, it is well to see you. [No pun intended of course...
There was something about Buffy that Spock recognized... The Vulcan tilted his head.]

[So there's this Dome. see...]
Actually, he's supposed to be in his room, but staring at those same four walls for over three weeks is starting to get to him.
Time to take a walk...for as long as it takes for Adele to find him and usher him back to bed, anyway.
He'd heard about the simulators, of course, so he'd carefully made his way there (rebellious about staying in the bed is one thing--but he's not dumb enough to push it so that his heal time takes longer. at least not when he isn't on the job.). When he sees Spock, he comes up short, takes in the ears, the man's face, and just seems to be calculating something for a moment. Then the moment is gone and he's making his way over, giving the Vulcan a nod and looking at the console Spock is working on.}
Hey. So these are the battle dome computers?

Indeed. Can I be of assistance?

Do you recall the room that I had shown you... with the Enterprise? That was a simulation. [Spock was rather surprised he did not know what they were... considering Saleh spent time at the Dome.]
