Personal Log #7
[Video]
Greetings and salutations. I believe that it is customary for one to welcome those who are newly arrived into Luceti.
Welcome.
To those who have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask. I can be found regularly at the Battle Dome for those who want to learn to utilize the simulations.
A reminder to everyone that the Kobayashi Maru simulation has been tested and is ready for public use. I will express my thanks to Mister Obi-Wan Kenobi, Miss Ami Mizuno, and Miss Lirael for testing the program for me.
I also find myself requiring assistance for a project that I have agreed to.... though I find myself now at an impasse. I am currently working on a small scale version of projected diburnium-osmium shield technology... with some minor alterations. If anyone is familiar with this or is willing to help, please inform me.
Peace and long life.

[Spock found himself once again frustrated by the recent memory lapse... for one who highly values mental discipline, it is... unnerving to find that your mind has been tampered with. However, Spock has long ago come to terms with this place and its disregard for dignity.
In the morning Spock can be found at the Dome by the computer terminals...but in the late afternoon strange, hauntingly beautiful music can be heard coming from House #2's backyard.
The Vulcan was pleased to have completed his Lyre, and was now enjoying an afternoon of practice.
In the evening, Spock actually ventures out to Seventh Heaven and can be found at a solitary table with a cup of tea.
Come and bother Spock at any and all of these locations.]

Of course. What exactly do you wish to know?
Re: [Action]
You also mentioned a war...
[Spock was very curious.]
[Action]
Originally the Agkelons were a very open society. They allowed anyone to enter their kingdom and shared their music and beauty with whoever crossed their borders. I was never a part of that.
I came across them after my people abandoned me. The Agkelons had also lost faith in people from the rest of the world at this point as they had begun to exploit them and their resources. This was when war first came to Aether. We made a promise... They would strengthen me with their belief and accept me as their deity and I would protect them from the outside world. So I took them to the sky with me and they lived apart from the ground beneath, stuck in their ways and despising anything that was not Agkelon and pure.
There was a ripple of change just before I was taken here... though I cannot say what will happen next. The violence has subsided for now... though belief in Spirits is dwindling and humans are turning to technology to aid them instead.
Re: [Action]
I do not have much experience with 'gods'... what experience I do have is limited to Luceti... and a few questionable situations on two other missions involving the Enterprise crew.
It is.... unfortunate that your world is losing its old ways. Vulcans, though very technologically advanced, have held on to traditions since the dawn of logic thousands of years previous.
We had found a harmonious balance. [Vulcan may be gone now... but the tradition lived in the elders that were saved.]
[Action]
[Something in the words Spock used catches his attention though.]
You say 'had'. What happened?
Re: [Action]
A race of about six billion was reduced to ten thousand in minutes.
[Spock plucked at a few strings...It was starting to become easier to reveal this information... Eleytheria was the sixth person he has told about this.]
[Action]
[Wait, what? Planets being destroyed?! That was something that Eley hoped would never be possible on Aether, but... obviously it had happened elsewhere already. If Aether was destroyed then Eley would go with it, no matter where he happened to be at the time.
He looks rather shocked at the information and more than a little anxious. What exactly could he say to that?]
I am... sorry to hear that. It must be difficult for you even now. How did this happen? Where did the rest of them go?
Re: [Action]
[Spock would never admit to having a difficult time with anything...]
Ka'adith... what is, is.
As for what happened... it is a rather lengthy story, are you certain you want to hear it?
[Action]
I am not needed anywhere at this time. I have as much time as you need to explain... and would be happy to listen.
Re: [Action]
Perhaps it would be wise to relocate our conversation to inside the house. It is rather cold still to be out for very long.
Can I interest you in a cup of tea?
[Action]
He gives a nod at that and stands.]
Tea would be... nice. [He had seemed to get a taste for it lately after all.]
Re: [Action]
In short order, the Vulcan has two cups of tea placed in front of them as they sit in the rather comfy living room.
But where to start...]
[Action]
Ah, if it is too difficult... I would not mind if you decided against an explanation.
[He offers.]
Re: [Action]
The story is rather complex... though if you have any questions, please refrain until the end.
The account actually begins about two hundred years in the future, where an older version of myself attempted to save another planet. Romulus was in danger due to its sun having reached its zenith, and was about to supernova, thus thoroughly destroying Romulus. My older counterpart, with the aid of the Vulcan science Academy, developed a substance called 'Red Matter' that would allow anything touched by this substance, to be enveloped in a black hole.
I... was too late. The Planet was destroyed by its sun and my older counterpart was chased a rebel faction of Romulans who were seeking vengeance for their destroyed home. The only way to escape was to use the Red Matter, thus creating a black hole. However, the black hole transported the Romulans to the distant past where they encountered a ship which held my Captain in the womb of his mother. The Romulan ship destroyed the Starfleet vessel, terminating most of its crew and claimed the life of Jim's father.
[Spock's voice lowered.. and took another sip of tea... apparently to calm his nerves.]
This event created an alternate time line... a shift that was irreparable, and for twenty five years the Romulan vessel waited until my older counterpart appeared through the black hole. They captured him and thus acquired the Red Matter...
At this time, I was a professor at the Starfleet Academy on Earth, and Jim was a student in his final year... We received a distress signal from Vulcan and the whole Starfleet armada went out in answering it.
If it was not for one single mistake, we would have been destroyed along with eighty percent of the cadets and Starfleet personnel that went out ahead of us. The Romulan vessel was too strong, and they were drilling a hole into the core of Vulcan. Despite our efforts, we were not able to save the planet before the Red Matter was deposited into the core of the planet. It took minutes before the entire planet was consumed...
Fortunately I was able to beam down to the surface and save most of the members of the Vulcan high counsel... My parents were among them.. but...I was too late... not..
..n-not fast enough...
[Spock stopped for a moment, and breathed.]
My mother was claimed by the event.
I was emotionally compromised, and made many mistakes after this entire debacle. However, with the Romulans' next target being Earth, I gave power of Captaincy over to Jim, and somehow we saved Earth... and destroyed the Romulan Vessel.
It was a great loss for the Federation... But we are slowly rebuilding. However, there now exists a universe with two versions of myself...
[Spock took another sip of tea.... then looked up at Eley.]
If you have any questions, I will be amenable to answering them.
[Action]
He knew most of the past details weren't necessarily important to him though and he could pick out the consequences of these actions... the impact it must have had on all involved. That was what really mattered now.]
I... could offer many questions, as my understanding of time and space, even of simple technology is minimal. However I do want to ask too much of you. That you shared such a personal story with me in the first place is something I can admire. I should... thank you for trusting me enough to speak about this with me.
Re: [Action]
You are.... a friend. And I have heard that it is wise to share a story with others, especially if it is emotionally burdensome.
So I will thank you as well.... for listening.
[Action]
As a deity, I often listened to the troubles of the Agkelon Royal Family. Nobody else was permitted to talk to me at the time. Ages before I took Agkelos, the shamans of various jungle tribes would commune with me instead. I am... used to listening, though I cannot always do anything to help. Perhaps that is why the people are gradually losing faith in us Spirits.
Still, I will continue to listen to anyone willing to talk to me. I only hope it does help in some way, no matter how small.
Re: [Action]
And I am much appreciative.
Though perhaps if you were to take human form in your own world... people may come to believe in spirits once more?
[Action]
[He admits. He had much to learn but his experiences in Luceti hadn't been all that bad just yet. Perhaps he could get used to being human after all and balance both sides.]
Re: [Action]
[Spock sinks into the couch, as if he's been physically drained. Which is odd, because Vulcan's are not prone to this type of behaviour.]
[Action]
Are you all right? Do you need rest?
Re: [Action]
...Though I had not realized the...strain that sharing would put on my physiology.
Do not concern yourself. Perhaps you would care to stay here for the afternoon?
[Action]
[He had to ask, even if he had been told not to concern himself... The fact was he already was concerned.]
But yes... I would not be opposed to staying if it will not cause you any trouble.
Re: [Action]
[Spock gives Eley a small smile...]
My thanks...
[ooc: May as well let it fade here m'dear~ <3 ]
