Greetings and salutations. I believe that it is customary for one to welcome those who are newly arrived into Luceti.

To those who have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask. I can be found regularly at the Battle Dome for those who want to learn to utilize the simulations.

A reminder to everyone that the Kobayashi Maru simulation has been tested and is ready for public use. I will express my thanks to Mister Obi-Wan Kenobi, Miss Ami Mizuno, and Miss Lirael for testing the program for me.

I also find myself requiring assistance for a project that I have agreed to.... though I find myself now at an impasse. I am currently working on a small scale version of projected diburnium-osmium shield technology... with some minor alterations. If anyone is familiar with this or is willing to help, please inform me.

[Spock found himself once again frustrated by the recent memory lapse... for one who highly values mental discipline, it is... unnerving to find that your mind has been tampered with. However, Spock has long ago come to terms with this place and its disregard for dignity.

In the morning Spock can be found at the Dome by the computer terminals...but in the late afternoon strange, hauntingly beautiful music can be heard coming from House #2's backyard.
The Vulcan was pleased to have completed his Lyre, and was now enjoying an afternoon of practice.

In the evening, Spock actually ventures out to Seventh Heaven and can be found at a solitary table with a cup of tea.

Come and bother Spock at any and all of these locations.]

[Spock gives her a small smile and all the patience in the world.]

[She's already putting on the necklace as he speaks. When she hears just how important it is to him, her movement checks for just a moment, and then she finishes fastening the clasp. It joins a delicate crystal flower pendant already hanging around her neck.]

I promise I'll wear it lots and lots, then, so I can make you happy.

[Spock gives her a small smile.]

You have already done so... I am glad that it pleases you. I do not have many friends Miss Grune... though I count myself quite fortunate to consider you among them.

Oh, my, you don't have lots of friends?

[She sounds a bit concerned by this. Now you've done it, Spock. If you're not careful, that state is going to change whether you like it or not.]

It is because I have never seen the need for them.

[Spock tilts his head in curiosity.]

But everyone needs friends. They're one of the most important things in the whole world.

I am beginning to realize the importance of friendships Miss Grune.. however, it is difficult to go against my upbringing. For Vulcans, friendships do not happen.. at least, not in the way that you may think.

[She tilts her head a little.]

How do they happen?

'Friendships' are peer based rather than relational... We do not have friends so much as we have understandings.

[Spock tilted his head.] It is difficult to interpret. There is also a certain amount of mental compatibility involved.

[Yeah, she's completely mystified now.]

Indeed... Vulcans are telepathic beings, and therefore rely on a certain amount of mental compatibility with those they interact with on a regular basis.
Your... mental presence is quite soothing, and I appreciate your company.

Oh, yes, I'd love to! [Tea with Spock is very rapidly turning into one of her many favourite things.]

Okay! [She holds out her hand for him to take, completely unaware of any discomfort this might cause.]

[Spock takes the offered hand without hesitation. It's not like that haven't held hands before...
