Intro Log - Voice/Action

[Illogical does not even begin to characterize the situation that Spock has found himself in. Approximately 2.4 minutes ago he was on the bridge of the USS Enterprise, and through some, as of yet unexplained phenomenon taking no time at all, (possibly through some spacial anomaly or undetected ion storm) suddenly appeared inverted in a tree... Current conditions also leave much to be desired. Spock's Vulcan physiology requires higher temperatures, and proper garments for optimal comfort... the forest in which he is now located has a lower than optimal temperature, and coupled with the disappearance of his Uniform and thermal wear he finds himself rather... cold. Though, perhaps it is fortuitous that he appeared in clothes at all... the white pants will have to suffice.
Upon his initial assessment, and descent from the tree, he was amazed to see an alteration to his physical person]

...Fascinating.

[Spock cards his fingers through the feathered protrusions located in the area of his scapula. Since he could feel a rather curious sensation through manual stimulus of the ...wings, Spock can safely assume they are indeed his newly acquired appendages. He could not fail to notice that his wings are the same ebony color his hair is.
Taking in his surroundings, Spock could hear the sound of running water close by... but nothing significant that could give him evidence of his location. The terrain was similar to that of Earth, however, there was 'something' about them that Spock could not quite explain that told him 'no, this is not Earth'...
As he was about to venture towards the water in hopes of finding civilization, something catches his attention... it appears to be some form of recording device located at the base of the tree in which he just descended from. Picking up the device he also notices that it has his name on it and it appears to be active. Curious... This proves that he was indeed sent here on purpose. But why?
Spock finally decides to speak out loud.]

Greetings, I am Spock. Is there a conscious form of life out there that can tell me my current location?
averybadfeeling: (Pardon?)

You're fine, man, I've been doing this for almost a year and I still didn't catch it.

"There was some residual discomfort and even pain, but it faded within a number of days. That said, I am uncertain as to how the physiology of your people would impact that recovery. With time, most barely notice them, unless they interfere with our garments. We become habitually accustomed to the method of lying on one's back without crushing them, we compensate for them when we move through narrow spaces... some even bind them beneath their clothing to hide them, though I do not."

[He turns briefly, allowing Spock to observe the small, precisely cut and meticulously restitched slits in the back of his tunic, through which his own small, brown wings are forced.]

"The cloak typically conceals them, and in truth, I often forget they are even present. Then again, I have been here for perhaps nine months, by the local calendar."

[He's going to regret not having picked up a shirt, because Grune doesn't do anything fast ever.

Her walk to the plaza is a leisurely one; she stops to check on her flowers here or say hello to a friend there. Once, she even forgets where she's going at all, but luckily for Spock, she remembers and heads off again.

When she finally arrives, she shows no surprise whatsoever at his pointed ears or his shirtless state.]

Hello. Isn't the village such a pretty place?

Right. Blue uniform.

[She said in the tone of someone fixing an object in her mind.

...which she was, in fact, doing. This conversation was getting a little less weird all the time - possibly because he was proving both polite and interesting, and that was helping put her on more realistic ground - but she was also having a hard time getting over the fact that Spock just asked about her family.

Focus. She needed to focus. Molly began a methodical search of the folded shirts.]

And I do have a family back home. I'm actually the oldest of seven kids.

[It was alternatively a source of pride and shame to have a family that large. But this long into Luceti? She just... missed them. All of them.]

We're each about a year apart.

See something you like?

[Lupin tried not to smirk too broadly at that soft sound. It was entirely unexpected, but not an unwelcome development. Maybe this Spock was different from the one that Lupin was more familiar with.]

Weapons? Diplomacy where able. When not, this. [Luke unclips a seven-inch cylindrical tube from his belt]

A lightsaber, an energy sword designed both to fight and defend. In the hands of a trained Force-user it can deflect energy weapons, as well as cleave through nearly any known substance.

One thing you must understand about my home is that there is a civil war going on. The central government was ruled by a Sith Lord, an evil Force-user, and he used political power and other means to oppress the entire galaxy. I was part of a resistance movement that rose up to end his reign. War is an unfortunately pervasive part of home, though it is coming to a close.

[He could let the man wander and find his things on his own but...curiosity bid Zevran peer inside. Besides. He may find more of those delightfully comfortable shirts. He follows and flips through the racks, one eye on the tall, pale elf that wasn't.]

[Lupin tried not to laugh. It was a very round about way of denial--but this was Spock. Not that Lupin could complain, as he was no better.]

We can get food if that's what you would like. The weather's changing, and you must be famished.

Oh, uh... do you know where you are already? [If that's the case, he shouldn't be surprised- leave it to Spock to educate himself quickly. It helps that there's plenty of people around to lend a hand.] I live in the fifth community building, so I'm usually around there.
lostinmyway: (Small happiness.)

[Some might be caught offguard by the sudden change in topic, but Grune just takes it in stride.]

Oh, no. Moro says that I'm a force.

[...He did ask!]
averybadfeeling: (Ponder)

Oh noes!

"... They can be, yes. And it is possible that they are the source of the universal translation effect we experience within the village as well."

Long range... [ communication devices. Helios is terrible with technology but if he had to guess, something like a cellphone or the journals. ] I'm not sure actually. There's, um, people here who can probably build something like that, I'd imagine. M-Maybe even h-help you if-if you asked. The b-barrier though...I'm not sure where the intended t-target is for your device. B-But I don't know if the barrier would, um, mess up its...communication.

Yes; the battledome and village both have clinics fully staffed. I work at the village clinic normally.
consultsdetective: (you have a record in "Kick Me" signs.)

Well, the guide's probably the safest place to start. Get you properly introduced and filled in on everything, see if you can't figure a general location off the maps so somebody can help you into town. [ Don't mind that shuffling, just podging around a bit for that ever-popular guide. ] Should turn up on the next page over, if you'll follow.
