Intro Log - Voice/Action

[Illogical does not even begin to characterize the situation that Spock has found himself in. Approximately 2.4 minutes ago he was on the bridge of the USS Enterprise, and through some, as of yet unexplained phenomenon taking no time at all, (possibly through some spacial anomaly or undetected ion storm) suddenly appeared inverted in a tree... Current conditions also leave much to be desired. Spock's Vulcan physiology requires higher temperatures, and proper garments for optimal comfort... the forest in which he is now located has a lower than optimal temperature, and coupled with the disappearance of his Uniform and thermal wear he finds himself rather... cold. Though, perhaps it is fortuitous that he appeared in clothes at all... the white pants will have to suffice.
Upon his initial assessment, and descent from the tree, he was amazed to see an alteration to his physical person]

...Fascinating.

[Spock cards his fingers through the feathered protrusions located in the area of his scapula. Since he could feel a rather curious sensation through manual stimulus of the ...wings, Spock can safely assume they are indeed his newly acquired appendages. He could not fail to notice that his wings are the same ebony color his hair is.
Taking in his surroundings, Spock could hear the sound of running water close by... but nothing significant that could give him evidence of his location. The terrain was similar to that of Earth, however, there was 'something' about them that Spock could not quite explain that told him 'no, this is not Earth'...
As he was about to venture towards the water in hopes of finding civilization, something catches his attention... it appears to be some form of recording device located at the base of the tree in which he just descended from. Picking up the device he also notices that it has his name on it and it appears to be active. Curious... This proves that he was indeed sent here on purpose. But why?
Spock finally decides to speak out loud.]

Greetings, I am Spock. Is there a conscious form of life out there that can tell me my current location?

Vulcan? I'm unfamiliar with the species, but I am from a space-faring reality, yes. And by Warp, I assume you mean faster-than-light travel?

Which...leads me to believe that you have not discovered the guide in your journal. [He'll just point that out right here as he walks.]

To answer your question, however, no. While there are those from civilizations like mine, and I assume your own, we are trapped within a barrier with no means of escape.

[Realizing that may be a lot to take in, he pauses]

[Spock takes a moment to go over the information located in the device...journal. Then he gives Mister Skywalker a look...]

I see. Though I may be disinclined to agree with this situation, I will, as humans say, 'make do.' Are we required to live with other people?

We are not, Spock. Our...keepers have provided us with two styles of housing. The first are single apartments with a shared kitchen, and the other is standard Earth-style houses. I personally live with companions made here, and another from my home reality.

[Luke shrugs]

I'm sorry if it seems like a lot to take in. Its a shock for many New Feathers, the colloquial term for newcomers.

Your apologies are unnecessary, and Vulcan's are not prone to shock. I believe I have a more agreeable grasp on the situation. Also, your help has been much appreciated.

[pause] To communicate with others, I merely record my voice and actions into this device? Perhaps I will see if anyone from my universe has been sent here during the 'wave of New Feathers.'

[Spock gives Mister Skywalker another look...] Out of curiosity, in your universe, what was your role?

Yes, you would just speak into the journal and it will broadcast to anyone. You can filter it as well, to individuals and to groups of people.

[He pauses and returns the look]

I am the current Grandmaster of the Jedi Order. The role of a Jedi Knight is as guardians of peace. We act as diplomats, soldiers, counselors, and when necessary special-forces for the military.

And yourself?

I am First Officer and Head of the Science Department on the USS Enterprise, the Flagship of Starfleet. Our mission is purely scientific and exploratory, however, on occasion we are called on for 'intense negotiation'.

Is there anyone else from your universe here?

Starfleet? A naval organization?

[Luke nods]

Yes, Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi, and...recently my father Anakin Skywalker, though he was sent home by the Malnosso.

Indeed.

The 'journal' mentions a significant lose of 'powers'. Would you elaborate?

Anything beyond normal human limits, strength, speed, psychic powers, magic, or in my case The Force, is cut by fifty percent.

Psychic Powers? I see. I will have to dedicate myself to meditation to further evaluate the extent of the suppression.

[Pause...]

The Force is an ability? Would you mind giving me a demonstration? ~~[Because Vulcan's are amazingly curious...]~~

You possess psychic powers? Perhaps then, this won't be so unfamiliar.

[Luke closes his eyes, and Spock will feel a sort of tremor, asking permission to speak into his mind. If he accepts the call...]

This is one aspect of the Force. Another would be this...

[Luke's fishing pole floats over into his hand]

[Spock drops the surface boundaries of his mind so that Mister Skywalker can 'skim the surface'. The Force, while not so different than his own ability, seems to have a different...colour. Spock is finding difficult to describe.]

It would seem that we share a common ability

~~Spock is staring at Luke~~ Fascinating. I hypothesize a form of Telekinesis. There have been stories in my culture dating back before Surak that there were a few exceptional Vulcans that acquired this ability. It is most fascinating.

[Luke leaves his mind.]

So it would seem. Do you need to be nearby to establish a link? And yes, one of the aspects of the Force is Telekinesis. There are other uses and skills granted as well. Healing, energy absorption and projection, precognition, enhanced senses and physical function. Some Jedi can even use the Force to fly, or bend light away from themselves, becoming invisible.

It depends on the nature of the relationship with the other individual. Without a bond, a link that connects two minds, physical contact is needed. However, I have heard of minds that were particularly compatible creating a spontaneous link... though that is incredibly rare.

The 'Force' appears to be rather powerful. Is it difficult to learn the discipline?

Perhaps something to cultivate at a later date then. Building a link.

[Luke nods]

The Force is something that requires a natural potential, an aptitude at birth. But learning it, that requires a great deal of work, to maintain a balance.

[Spock tries not to act startled at Mister Skywalker's request... perhaps Spock did not properly communicate the intimacy of such a link. However, he was hesitant to bring the matter forward.]

I see. Are we nearing the village?

Yes, we're not far. Maybe another kilometer. I prefer to fish well away from the village.

[Its not that intimate for a Jedi, really]

Do you 'fish' for consumption purposes or for solitude?

It relaxes me, but I've been learning to cook fish as well. A dear friend of mine enjoys fish, so I've been attempting to get better at that.

Spock, you mentioned Starfleet. Can you tell me more about that?

Starfleet is a deep-space exploratory and defense service maintained by the United Federation of Planets. Its principal functions include the advancement of Federation knowledge about the galaxy and its inhabitants, the advancement of Federation science and technology, the military defense of the Federation, and the practice of Federation diplomacy.

[Spock hesitates for a moment.]
I have never 'fished' before.

And have you encountered many hostile forces in your home Galaxy? Have you mapped it entirely yet?

[He's really interested]

Have you not? I...only started recently, but I am willing to teach you sometime.

Indeed. As of right now the main concentration of hostilities are with the Klingons and Romulans. As for exploration, the Galaxy is separated into four Quadrants. The Alpha, Beta, Gamma and Delta Quadrants. Not all Quadrants are completely explored due to 'hostile forces'. However, we are making progress with peace.

[pause]

I would be.... amenable to learn.

That's good to hear. There are very, very few cultures here in Luceti that have mastered space travel yet. To my knowledge, only yours, mine, and that of Commander Shepard and Daisy have. So four, out of hundreds of realities.

[Luke nods]

I'd happily teach you, it'd be a pleasure.

That statistic is surprisingly low for the amount of converged universes. Have you had an opportunity to meet all inhabitants of Luceti?

[pause]

I never understood the concept of fishing as a recreational activity. I look forward to the encounter.

I've met with hundreds of people here, and most are from some variation of Earth between the years 1600 and 2020 AD. If...I understand Earth years correctly.

[He shrugs.]

It is relaxing, I find it quite peaceful. Perhaps you will too. And the fish here taste quite good.
