Intro Log - Voice/Action

[Illogical does not even begin to characterize the situation that Spock has found himself in. Approximately 2.4 minutes ago he was on the bridge of the USS Enterprise, and through some, as of yet unexplained phenomenon taking no time at all, (possibly through some spacial anomaly or undetected ion storm) suddenly appeared inverted in a tree... Current conditions also leave much to be desired. Spock's Vulcan physiology requires higher temperatures, and proper garments for optimal comfort... the forest in which he is now located has a lower than optimal temperature, and coupled with the disappearance of his Uniform and thermal wear he finds himself rather... cold. Though, perhaps it is fortuitous that he appeared in clothes at all... the white pants will have to suffice.
Upon his initial assessment, and descent from the tree, he was amazed to see an alteration to his physical person]

...Fascinating.

[Spock cards his fingers through the feathered protrusions located in the area of his scapula. Since he could feel a rather curious sensation through manual stimulus of the ...wings, Spock can safely assume they are indeed his newly acquired appendages. He could not fail to notice that his wings are the same ebony color his hair is.
Taking in his surroundings, Spock could hear the sound of running water close by... but nothing significant that could give him evidence of his location. The terrain was similar to that of Earth, however, there was 'something' about them that Spock could not quite explain that told him 'no, this is not Earth'...
As he was about to venture towards the water in hopes of finding civilization, something catches his attention... it appears to be some form of recording device located at the base of the tree in which he just descended from. Picking up the device he also notices that it has his name on it and it appears to be active. Curious... This proves that he was indeed sent here on purpose. But why?
Spock finally decides to speak out loud.]

Greetings, I am Spock. Is there a conscious form of life out there that can tell me my current location?
talentsgirl: (Knights of What-Now?)

whee! /buys a ticket

[In order to not think about Spock changing in the back, Molly had been searching for new graphic T-Shirts. Every once in a while, she got lucky, and one showed up in her size.

...however, the banging sound coming from the dressing room drew her curious concern.]

Everything all right in there?
talentsgirl: (Dun Dun DUN | Behind That Corner Is...)

oh dear /buckles

[personal profile] talentsgirl 2012-09-19 07:14 pm (UTC)(link)
[Molly grimaced at that. New wings were tender as all get out.]

Ah - I don't, actually. I could run to the Smithy and get one.

[Or - magic, hey, could she use magic to cut something? ...probably not very well.]

Or you could just try a different shirt in the meantime?
talentsgirl: (Dubious | I Sense a Wibble Coming On)

[personal profile] talentsgirl 2012-09-20 06:44 am (UTC)(link)
I wish I could. But that kind of magic would take some time.

[Transmogrification is not as easy, with her type of magic, as it would be with those whose magic, she couldn't help but think, was more powerful. Like Draco's, he could do this easily.]

It's not the sort of thing I could just use an evocation for.

[Not at her current level, anyway.]
talentsgirl: (So. This Isn't Good.)

[personal profile] talentsgirl 2012-09-21 11:57 pm (UTC)(link)
[Molly winced a little at those ripping sounds and made a mental note to start carrying around a knife. Even a pocket knife would do.

And when Spock opened the door, the internal squee track which had been running since the beginning of their conversation and only getting progressively louder at intervals ground to a sudden halt. He looked so uncomfortable.]

Of course.

[She dropped the shirt in her hand back on the shelf and hurried over.]

Just turn around.
talentsgirl: (Neutral | Uh-huh)

[personal profile] talentsgirl 2012-09-22 02:46 am (UTC)(link)
This might - hurt a little. I know that the wings are sensitive.

[Sensitive in all kinds of ways and she tries not to think about that. At all. Instead she braces one hand on his back between his wings and starts pulling down the shirt one side at a time. As she pulls the shirt against his back with one hand, she smooths the wing flat against his back.

She stopped when the shirt just covered the edge of his wings. This left her plenty of pull in the shirt itself and aligned the holes over the wings which... should make it easier to pull the wings through.

She left one hand underneath the shirt and one above.]

You're all right?

[Because this next part might actually... really hurt.]
talentsgirl: (Okay so...)

[personal profile] talentsgirl 2012-09-22 04:35 am (UTC)(link)
All right, on three. One, two--

[And it's on two when she moves.

Molly decides that doing this quickly would be better, so she holds the hole open with one hand and with the other works the wing through. She just hopes it doesn't hurt too much.]

--three.
talentsgirl: (Dun Dun DUN | Behind That Corner Is...)

Nooooo, rush AWAY from the light at the end of the tunnel!

[personal profile] talentsgirl 2012-09-22 05:10 am (UTC)(link)
{With the hand on the outside of shirt, she steadied his shoulder until the swaying passed.]

I'm sorry. It's almost over. Ready?
talentsgirl: (Oh | Something Will Have to Be Done)

[personal profile] talentsgirl 2012-09-23 05:48 am (UTC)(link)
[...fortunately, or perhaps unfortunately, Molly was focused on just getting the task done with the least amount of pain possible.

That's why the next wing is freed with similar speed and precision as the first.

And though she doesn't reach out to tug his shirt down, she doesn't step back either. She removes the had that had been underneath his shirt, and places one hand on each side of the now-freed wings. Using her contract with the filial spirit Nala, her hands begin to warm.

She was aware that no magic could affect the wings. But maybe the spirit could at least ease the soreness of the ordeal. And with one sweep of her hands she moves them down each wing, righting the ruffled feathers.]

All right?
talentsgirl: (Like a Punch to the Gut)

WHY DO THE JOURNALS NOT COME EQUIPPED WITH 911??

[personal profile] talentsgirl 2012-09-23 07:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Ack!

[Molly moved quickly, sliding her hands up to grab his arms. She steps forward into him in order to use her body as leverage to keep him from falling to the ground. She's no shrinking violet, but the dead weight of a grown man is also no joke.

She does manage to keep him from crashing to the ground face-first, and lowers him down instead, turning him on his side.

She craned to see his face, saying his name.]

Spock? Spock??

[Inside her mind, there was a running collision of thoughts - everything she knew of Vulcan physiology and medicine and an on-going litany of 'oh crap, oh crap,' and 'I broke Spock.']
talentsgirl: (Dubious | I Sense a Wibble Coming On)

...lol, QUITE THE WELCOME he's gotten 0XD

[personal profile] talentsgirl 2012-09-23 08:33 pm (UTC)(link)
[...Well, time to find his pulse. Right? Right. She still doesn't want to put all his weight on his wings, so this means she has to lean him to find his pulse on his throat.

Vulcans have a pulse, right? Is it faster or slower than a human's? Why can't I remember this when it matters?]
talentsgirl: (Oh No | Concern)

Seems fine to me!

[personal profile] talentsgirl 2012-09-24 12:34 am (UTC)(link)
[His mental shields being down meant that his unconscious probing against her own shields did not go unnoticed. Molly quickly withdrew her hands and when the probing immediately stopped, she exhaled.

That meant he wasn't dead - oh good, he was sitting up.

She leaned back, moving to a kneeling position.]

Are you all right? What happened?
talentsgirl: (Love It | Delighted)

1/2

[personal profile] talentsgirl 2012-09-25 02:05 am (UTC)(link)
[Okay, there was a lot there but let's just pause for a second here--

I believe that my mind tried to connect with yours--

'My mind to your mind'--

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

That. Was so cool.
