Personal Log #10 - [Action/Accidental Video] A return to innocence...

[Spock blinks awake... but then shuts his eyes again as the wave of disorientation hits him. People and events crowd into his mind in no logical order... leaving gaping holes in his memories.

Logically, he can safely assume that something has happened to him. He's hurt, alone... and his normally eidetic memory is off... Indeed, something has definitely happened to him.

Opening his eyes once more, he takes in his surroundings... his tiny hand reaches out and takes the journal that is laying innocently beside him.
It's a familiar book, almost as if it's from a distant memory... but he cannot remember how or why it's here... or where he is for that matter. But he does recognize these trees... He's definitely been here before.
Opening the journal's pages, he doesn't realize that he has activated the 'video'... Anyone who is listening in will see the bruised face of an eight year old boy... with a familiar bowl cut, slanted eyebrows, and pointed ears.
Spock stares at the book for awhile, trying hard to place it within his memory... then shuts it. Standing, and fighting off another wave of disorientation... Spock makes his way slowly towards civilization.]

ooc: Meet 8 year old Spock, who is lost and confused as to where he is. If your CR with him is strong enough, he may recognize you, and recall some events... he just won't recall everything clearly. All answers to posts will be coming from my other account:

Feel free to bump into Spock as he wandering aimlessly around town, trying to find his way home.. or at least a familiar face. If he does find a familiar face, expect him to tag along like a duckling.

She... she's back on Vulcan. We're working on contacting her, but communications are a bit shoddy here. Sorry.

[Spock tilted his head as he regarded Jim.... his eyes assessing the other man.]

I... do not understand why we are here... Why are we here?

Just a mix up of ships, is all. It's getting sorted, really, but with communications down it's taking a bit longer than usual.

[Spock.. though comfortable with this man, didn't necessarily trust him.]

[Spock gave those words some serious consideration....

Then came to an ultimate decision.]

[Spock's face softened once more, no longer scrutinizing everything.]

_{[ He came over to him with a sandwich and a glass of juice. He set both down next to him and he ruffled his hair. ]}

Worry more about how you're going to catch up on all your school work.

[Spock tolerated the action as he examined his sandwich...]

School Work? I am in school?

What grade am I in?
[Spock narrowed his eyes at Jim.... ]

I'm not very up to date on the Vulcan education system. I just know that you guys have some advanced way of doing that makes Earth hang its head in shame.

Then how do you know that I have homework?

[Have a suspicious little boy again... better draw his attention away or he's going to know that you have been lying through your teeth...[

I guess that's a human concept, huh? I always had homework growing up, so, you know, it's how I think. What, do Vulcans not have homework?

Homework implies that you must take your work home with you... We did not. All Vulcan children must stay at school until the level of that day is completed and then all relevant projects or assignments.

[yes... most of Spock's life was spent at school.

Spock stared at his sandwich...and took an experimental bite...]

But your life was school, am I right? I don't get Vulcan children's social games and stuff, but you never struck me as having a clique of friends or something.

[Spock shuffled his feet against the cupboard.... but when he opened his mouth to try to speak, the peanut butter made his mouth stick....

...all he got out was some muffled words... Blushing, he shut his mouth again.]

_{[ He laughs at that and pours milk, setting it down beside him and tapping it. ]}

Drink it, that will clear your mouth at.

[Spock looked skeptically at the milk.. then back at Jim...

Relenting, he picked up the glass and drank the cool liquid. He raises his eyebrows in surprise as he realizes that Jim was right...

...it did indeed clear his throat.]

To your earlier inquiry... you are right. I do not have 'cliques' of friends... I do not have friends...

[The young Vulcan blinked at Kirk... He doesn't remember any other friends he has been making in Luceti... all there is is you.]

Well, that's not good. Kid your age needs some friends his age too. I know I'm your coolest friend, but, you know.

[Spock's eyebrows twitch in confusion... Then he reaches a tiny hand forward and touches Jim's cheek.]

Your temperature is that of an average human.. I do not understand why you believe your temperature to be lower than of others.
But you are my friend...

Vulcans... do not have friends... so I do not know.

Oh, no, cool is a turn of phrase. It means that I'm... fun to hang around, I guess. Human slang, it's usually never literal.
