spohkh | Personal Log #13 - Return [Video/Action]

[As the lights from the transporter beam dissipates, the Vulcan sways as he takes in the rather unexpected surroundings. There was one obvious conclusion:
This was not the Enterprise.

The Vulcan's mind buzzes with questions: Where was he? Where was Khan? Did he escape? Did the transporter malfunction? Did Nyota make it back to the Enterprise? The whole fight with the war criminal Khan seemed like a dream, an emotionally hazy, anger filled dream. Memories he didn't have for a whole year came flooding back, and he knew, he knew where he was now. This wasn't a trick of the mind, he was really back in this place.

Luceti...

An entire year later and he was brought back again at the most ill-conceived time. His Captain... his friend was dead and Khan's blood could supposedly bring him back to life? Certainly he had believed Nyota's words, but there was no concrete evidence given to him, and now he'll never know.
Spock looked around in quiet desperation, his brows furrowed with a rare vulnerability showing on his face. He shifted his back... yes, of course, there were the wings, sensitive as he remembered from his first days here in this infuriating place. The journal, his name embossed in gold gleamed in the sunlight, as if mocking him... but that was illogical. Bending at the waist, Spock picked up the journal, allowing its weight in his hand to remind him of the reality of the situation.

Green blood splattered on the journal as he opened it, he needed to see who was still here. The Vulcan breathed, wiping the strange coloured blood from the side of his mouth... and then opened his mouth to speak.]

Greetings residents of Luceti, I am Spock. I have been gone for approximately eleven point three months, however, considering the paradox of time that Luceti resides in, I do not know how long I have actually been away from here. If there is anyone still here that I know, information would be appreciated.

[Spock pauses to wipe more blood from his mouth.] I also require medical assistance.

[Action]

[Spock finds his way to the clinic so that his injuries can be seen to. Later, he can be found at the Dome, reorienting himself to Luceti and making sure his program files are still there, although he's only been gone a few days. In the evening Spock can be found around House #2, sitting on the porch with his Lyre, tired but amenable to talk.]

[ooc: Spock's been out of Luceti for just over two days, but if you've seen the movie Star Trek: Into Darkness, you'll know that Spock has been gone for about a year. The moment he's brought into Luceti is just as he is beamed back onto the ship after beating the crap out of Khan with Uhura's assistance. So have a beaten up Vulcan who's worried about his dead Captain. Cheers~]

[So soon after Kirk's reappearance, it's really not a surprise to learn that Spock has returned. But the fact that they're both back apparently so banged up is worrying.]

You've been gone a few days, Spock. But more importantly, where are you?

Captain Rogers. [Familiar voice, this was a good start.]

I have materialized by the fountain. [He was afraid to ask about Kirk, part of him didn't want to know.] I may require... assistance in getting to the clinic.

[This is the second time he's had to help a friend get to the clinic. First Kirk and now him. As soon as they're both stable he's going to ask them what the hell is going on for them back home.]

I'm on my way. Are you bleeding anywhere? Should I bring bandages to hold you over until we get to the clinic?

[Spock would be quite happy to hear about Kirk... as it is, the Vulcan is still reeling from the death of his friend.

From where he is sitting, the Vulcan looks at his hands, knuckles bloodied, and hums in affirmation.]

Bandages would be appreciated. I seem to have sustained lacerations on my hands and cranial region. [To put it lightly of course.]

[There's some shuffling and slamming of cabinets as Steve pulls out the needed supplies. There's sounds are quickly followed by a door closing and footsteps rushing down the stairs.

Steve keeps his journal open through all of this but doesn't speak again until he's out of his building.]

Spock? Are you still with me? [If he's taken a hit to the head, it's best to make sure he doesn't pass out.]

I am. [Spock is currently slumped against the fountain, his head cradled by his knees. The adrenalin has really left him.]

Good. I'm almost there. [The connection breaks as Steve shuts his journal and breaks out into a run. He sprints the rest of the way to the fountain, stopping in front of Spock.

He has a small bag shoved full with gauze, bandages, and ointment.]

Hey. What hurts the most?

[Spock blinks up at Steve.]

My hands. [Spock looks a bit out of it. Maybe he has a concussion, he isn't sure. All he knows is that the uncontrolled emotions are making him sick with a headache. But... his hands. He could see his hands and focus on the fact that they were bleeding, and needed to be seen to.]

I appreciate your assistance Captain Rogers.

Right. [He crouches down in front of Spock and begins pulling items from the bag. He pulls out the ointment, and after warning that it could burn a little, he rubs it onto the worst of the injuries. After wiping his hands he begins wrapping bandages around each hand.]

Don't mention it. Can you stand?

[Spock nods, and stands. He lurches forward but manages to catch himself before he falls. This is embarrassing, he hates being weak. And to admit all of that means that he's being emotional... therefore a failure of a Vulcan.

You know what? Spock's just having a moment, so don't mind him. Instead, he finally gains the courage to ask.]

Do you know if Captain Kirk is still here?

[He quickly shoves his things back into his bag and stands off to the side, close enough that he can jump in if it looks like Spock needs assistance.]

He made it back before you did. Just the other day, actually. I had to haul him to the clinic too.

[Spock gripped Steve's arm, wide-eyed as he delivered the news.]

Jim is here? What was his condition?

[He raises his brows, stunned by Spock's reaction.]

Uh...yeah. He's here. But I could tell he was in a lot of pain. He could barely sit up without help. But there wasn't a scratch on him.

[Not a scratch on him? Does this mean that McCoy was right? Did the blood actually work?]

What was he wearing?

[It might seem like a stupid question, but it's very important.]

[He takes a moment to think it over.]

He was wearing a hospital gown.

[A hospital gown... not his bloodied uniform or the white pants that Luceti usually provided you with...

That could mean....]

He lived. He survived! Khan's blood worked! [Spock stood up quickly in his excitement... and didn't remember that he was injured. So, he pitched forward.]

[Luckily Steve's reflexes are amazing and he's able to catch Spock before he hits the ground.]

Spock, calm down. What are you talking about? [Kirk survived...?] Was Kirk's life in danger?

[Spock's fortunate that Steve can support his weight... because he kind of sags into the Captain's arms, completely tired.]

I watched him die.

[...watched him die?]

No...no, it must be a mistake. He wasn't dressed like a New Feather. He couldn't have died...[Unless the Malnosso had brought him back right before he died.]

He did die... however, Jim has been known to defy all odds. It is possible that our Chief Medical Officer produced a serum from...

[From Khan? Even that sounded far fetched for Spock, but it was apparently possible.]
However, he died in his uniform. If he was in medical garments, that would imply recovery in sickbay.
