Personal Log #14 - Action/Not an Elf

[Why did he agree to do this? Well, he knows why he agreed to this, but the logical question would be why was he still in this illogical costume?
In the early evening, the Vulcan can be found walking through the village of Luceti wearing a very festive green and read elf costume, complete with a pointed hat and shoes. The hat even had a bell on it.
Spock's expression didn't exactly reflect the festive outfit he wore though, and if anything, it looked as though there should be a dark cloud following the Vulcan around. Approach him if you dare as he runs various errands at the grocery store, items shop, then finally the Dome.
Yes ladies and gentlemen, the Vulcan has become an elf for the season as a favour for a certain Captain.]

[Nope, those confused looks aren't going to make him change his mind, but it does get a roll of the eyes and a slap to Spock's shoulder.]

If you're going to the store, pick up some more meat. Kid needs protein. And make sure you smile for the kiddies. Don't want them scared of Santa's helper.

[And he's going to try walking away now.]

Spock moves with the doctor, turning to block his path.]

Doctor McCoy, you did not clarify your statement. What does this outfit have anything to do with my quarters?

[Its rude to block a man's path, and he gives Spock a glare that demonstrates that, but his arms cross over his chest.]

You're sure you want me to explain this to you on the God damn street corner, Spock? Because I can guarantee that you're getting enough looks as it is, and if we start discussing costume kinks you're going to get them for a whole new reason.

[Spock just glares back, unmoved by McCoy's expression.]

Are you saying that this costume is somehow sexual in nature? Explain.

[He's already flaunting himself in public with this stupid costume, it can't get any worse really.]

Explain? [Snort.] If you don't...Jesus, just stay away from the kid if he comes home with a giant peppermint stick and says he wants to try something, alright?

Your use of illogical slang and dubious euphemisms are not appreciated Doctor. I do not see how any of this is related to seasonal confectionery.

No, no. No slang, I'm serious. Stay away from giant sticks of peppermint in the bedroom. [The things you learn working the late shifts during the holidays.]

Look, I'm just saying that parading around in that costume so Jim can have his shits and grins is a pretty blatant way of displaying your crush. [Happy now?]

[See? This is why Spock doesn't talk to you.
The Vulcan continues to look unhappily at Leonard.]

Crush? I have crushed nothing. In what context do you use this word?

[He really wants to reach out and shake the points right off those ears at the moment, but he settles for a scowl and glare instead.]

God damn it, Spock. Are you being this frustrating on purpose? Crush. Feelings. Being enamored with the captain. The reason for all that green goop you call blood to run south!

[There were many things that took place in the next few seconds. Spock's face morphed into one of absolute loathing to horrid surprise. Eyes opened wide, mouth going just a little bit slack, the Vulcan blushed a deep shade of green at McCoy's claim...


....and realizing only belatedly that his reaction completely condemned him.


Congratulations, you've rendered Spock completely silent.]

[In all fairness he did even try to walk away before getting to this point. Maybe Spock would be wise to let him walk away in the future.]

Guess you can't always control that Vulcan biology of yours, hm? [And he smacks a green cheek lightly as he walks past him, using this stunned moment to get away.

He really doesn't have anything else to say on the matter.]

[Spock is embarrassed, and while it wouldn't be normal for him to walk away from a fight, Spock actually concedes.
As McCoy starts to walk away, Spock doesn't stop him.

Still looking flustered, the Vulcan walks the other way... towards home.

These feelings. They are entirely too new to him and Leonard was completely right. Spock doesn't always have control. And that is what bothers the Vulcan most.]
