Personal Log #14 - Action/Not an Elf

[Why did he agree to do this? Well, he knows why he agreed to this, but the logical question would be why was he still in this illogical costume?
In the early evening, the Vulcan can be found walking through the village of Luceti wearing a very festive green and read elf costume, complete with a pointed hat and shoes. The hat even had a bell on it.
Spock's expression didn't exactly reflect the festive outfit he wore though, and if anything, it looked as though there should be a dark cloud following the Vulcan around. Approach him if you dare as he runs various errands at the grocery store, items shop, then finally the Dome.
Yes ladies and gentlemen, the Vulcan has become an elf for the season as a favour for a certain Captain.]

[Spock does sigh this time, looking resigned.]

You may ask what is obviously on your mind.

[Boy, this is going to be interesting.]

[She can't help it, but even now she hesitates for a moment first.]

I just thought the costume was interesting. [It's really a prompt to tell her how he ended up wearing it.]

It was certainly no choice of mine.

[Spock hesitates for a moment as he shuffles his feet.] However, knowing how it effects the giver of this gift... I do not mind wearing it for a short time.

[He just wants to hide away now kay thanks.]

So you're wearing it for your friend. [Ami's smile brightens at that. Best reason, really.] I think it's a nice idea.

Nice? Perhaps...

[Annoying, inconvenient and inappropriate might be more like it.]

However, I am uncertain as to his intentions.

[Ami thinks of Motoki teasing Nephrite, first.]

He probably doesn't mean it to be anything malicious. It's just something fun for the holiday.

[Spock hums at the word 'fun'... it seems that he'll never escape it nor completely understand it.

I do firmly believe the Captain would never be malicious... however, he is not unaccustomed to 'good natured' teasing.
I am still uncertain why I allowed myself to go this far...

[Have grumpy Spock.]

Maybe it's because it's the same for you. Because he's your friend, you want to do something if it will make him happy, even if it isn't comfortable.

[She knows a lot about that, with the things she did for Usagi when they were younger.]

[Spock can't help but look a bit pleased...]

Somehow, I doubt he would wear this for me. [Then again, Spock would never ask him to.]

[That seems to draw out Ami's very faint mischievous streak, and she gives Spock a quick smile.]

You could ask him to wear something else, maybe.

[Spock looks mildly intrigued...]

Anything in particular?

Something like this, something he wouldn't wear normally. [But not too bad, of course. There's a difference between a joke and a prank that might be a bit mean.]

Interestingly enough, he was recently forced to wear nothing but a miniskirt for an entire week courtesy of Mister Loki.

[A very amusing time at House number two for certain.] Perhaps... for now... he has suffered enough.

[Spock gave Ami a small smile though, appreciating the thought. Maybe someday, they will get into mischief together and explore this 'fun' that everyone keeps talking about.]

[Ami covers her mouth with a hand. She really, really shouldn't laugh at someone when they're not even here to defend themselves. But she can't help nearly doing so anyway.]

I hope nothing too serious happened.

[He looks amused as he regards Ami... he wonders how much it would take to make her laugh. He might turn it into an experiment.]

He is unharmed, and only had to deal with the cold for a short while.
I do believe Doctor McCoy was able to take a picture to immortalize the event however.

[Which was good, because he needed more blackmail material.]

[Poor Kirk.]

It seems a little mean to tease him that way too much. [Or really, that's Ami, who's never very good at taking those sorts of things as the joke they are, when it's applied to her.]

Perhaps. [Spock smirks. It was the one thing that McCoy did that Spock agreed with. So there was that.]

I am curious though... Have you ever done something... humiliating in public before?

[There's a slightly uncomfortable smile, and a typical non-answer.]

Not if it can be helped.

[She tends to end up feeling embarrassed even without friends playing jokes.]

Maybe I will make a garment like this for you next year. [Oh dear, did Spock just tell a joke? I think he did.]

[Er. Not that she wouldn't appreciate the gesture of making her something, but... Well, she hopes it's a joke, at least.]

I think that would be a lot of work.

[Spock looks entirely too amused.] Nothing is too much work for a friend.

[He would have laughed had he been more human, as it was he bows his head, still looking very amused, and lifts his hand in a Ta'al.]
