Personal Log #14 - Action/Not an Elf
[Why did he agree to do this? Well, he knows why he agreed to this, but the logical question would be why was he still in this illogical costume?
In the early evening, the Vulcan can be found walking through the village of Luceti wearing a very festive green and read elf costume, complete with a pointed hat and shoes. The hat even had a bell on it.
Spock's expression didn't exactly reflect the festive outfit he wore though, and if anything, it looked as though there should be a dark cloud following the Vulcan around. Approach him if you dare as he runs various errands at the grocery store, items shop, then finally the Dome.
Yes ladies and gentlemen, the Vulcan has become an elf for the season as a favour for a certain Captain.]

I am not certain. I have already done much that I would not normally, for the sake of others... To say 'anything' though is rather... strong. Final. I would not like to agree to it only to find myself unable to do something in future.
[Though why wouldn't he? Was he afraid of the feeling that might come with it?]

Have you ever been willing to die for someone?
no subject
[It should be as clear an answer as that really, but Eley himself seems rather troubled by the question. Had he not harmed himself willingly to save another in Luceti? If he was willing to harm himself... what else was he willing to do?]
Things are different in Luceti. I am afraid I am not sure how to answer...

Can you die?
[Now Spock was curious, temporarily forgetting to be tactful.]

I feel that it may be possible, should someone have the power to kill us while we manifest ourselves in a physical form. Yet it has never happened in that way. Even a lack of belief, though it will weaken us, will not wipe us out of existence, leaving us only in a dormant state. Our essence is tied with that of the planet. Only if the planet dies will we truly disappear.
...that is still possible, however.

Thank you for answering, and you have my apologies for asking such a sensitive question.
no subject
This question is not a sensitive one to my kind. It is... a fact of life, and one that we should never really experience ourselves. In fact, I fear more for the life of others, even though this should never cross my mind.
[Another side effect of human emotion, he assumes.]

Before I continue with my errand, I have something I wish to give you for Christmas. You should come by my home later this evening.

Naturally, he wasn't going to let this gesture go one-sided.]
Very well. In that case I will bring something to you as well.
(OOC: Wanna skip to evening or handwave? |3)
That evening~
It had been an interesting day for certain, but he's looking forward to seeing his friend's expression.]

I realize this is early for gifts, but since neither of us celebrate this season in our respective universes, I am certain we will be forgiven, yes? [The Vulcan might be a bit caught up in the holiday spirit.]
no subject
That you should wish to present me with a gift at all is something that brings me... happiness.
[He holds out the basket to Spock now, which appears to be full of small, slightly charred cookies in the shape of Christmas trees. Or... well Eley may have taken the shape a little too literally and tried to carve out pine trees with all of their branches, resulting in vaguely tree-shaped blobs. Still! They're sweet and edible despite the slight burning.]
I believe this is when I am supposed to say 'Merry Christmas'?

You honour me with your gift, I thank thee. [Spock will definiely enjoy them, and hey! No chocolate!]
This is for you.
[Spock hands Eley a wrapped box, and the contents inside feel soft. Last year Spock made scarves and mitts for most of his friends, but this year he didn't have enough time to make as many things as he wanted. But, for Eley, he managed to knit a deep, navy blue shawl.]

Pulling out the shawl and throwing it around his shoulders, Eley offers a small smile.]
Thank you. I will wear it with your memory, as a friend.
[He hadn't discarded the scarf from last year either. When he wasn't wearing it, he would hang it on one of the branches of his tree with the rest. They looked like streamers in the face of the wind.]

You have shelter for the winter, yes?
