Personal Log #14 - Action/Not an Elf

[Why did he agree to do this? Well, he knows why he agreed to this, but the logical question would be why was he still in this illogical costume?
In the early evening, the Vulcan can be found walking through the village of Luceti wearing a very festive green and read elf costume, complete with a pointed hat and shoes. The hat even had a bell on it.
Spock's expression didn't exactly reflect the festive outfit he wore though, and if anything, it looked as though there should be a dark cloud following the Vulcan around. Approach him if you dare as he runs various errands at the grocery store, items shop, then finally the Dome.
Yes ladies and gentlemen, the Vulcan has become an elf for the season as a favour for a certain Captain.]

[Spock resists the urge to facepalm.]

My Captain gave it to me as an early Christmas gift... I am wearing it only because it was a gift to show my appreciation for the effort. However, considering the way he laughed, I surmise that this gift serves another purpose.

[She blinks again.]

Maybe he laughed because he was so happy.

[Spock wondered if Grune was even capable of teasing or making fun of someone....]

Miss Grune, have you ever 'teased' someone?

[lostinmyway]

[A finger lifts to her cheek.]

Hmm.... I wonder.

[How surprised are you at getting this answer, Spock?]

[spohkh]

[He's answer his own question.... honestly, Grune doesn't have a mean bone in her body. Then again, he's not quite sure about her when she has all of her memories, but even then, she seemed reserved and no 'mean' unless she absolutely had to be.]

Well, if only my Captain were more like you, then I would be assured that his intentions on the matter would be far more innocent than they actually were.

[Her puzzlement only grows.]

Do you really think he's teasing you?

[spohkh]

Absolutely.

[He wonders idly at how much Grune actually does understand. He remembers feeling almost intimidated when confronted by her with her memories intact...
...but this...

He doesn't understand how someone so sweet and innocent can also be strong and intimidating.]

My, that isn't very nice. Friends are supposed to cheer you up, not make you sad. [Or pissed.]

[spohkh]

[Spock thinks of death... and almost shakes his head.]

Sometimes friends can be... unintentionally mean or hurtful. Jim and I do not share the same sense of humour, so I can not blame this strictly on maliciousness.

Perhaps... perhaps he was attempting to get me to... 'lighten up'.
[He can't believe he's actually defending Jim now.]

[Her head tilts slightly.]

Do you want to lighten up?

[spohkh]

I... do not know.

[Spock actually considers the question. But, the seriousness is probably reduced to the fact that he's standing in public with this ridiculous outfit on.]

It seems as though what I am, is not what others want me to be...
[This revelation disturbs Spock more than it should. But then again, he's never voiced it out loud before.]

[She reaches out with the intent to take his hand. Think fast, Spock!]

Oh, but I love you just the way you are, Spock. And I'm sure your friends do, too.

[spohkh]

[Spock moves his hand forward, not wanting to pull away so as to offend Grune, but clasping her wrist instead.]

Coming from you, that means a lot to me.

[lostinmyway]

[She smiles and takes his other wrist.]

It's true. You're a wonderful person because you're you. And I'm very happy we're friends.

[spohkh]

[They could have spent quite some time like this, spending time basking in their new level of friendship... but all moments must end. With a gentle tug, Spock directs Grune down the street.]

I could use a cup of tea, will you join me?

[lostinmyway]

I'd be very happy to. It's only his nicer to drink tea with someone you love.

[Her smile deepens.]

AND THEY LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER XDDDDD

[After more blushing, the Vulcan inclines his head....]
