Personal Log #6...4th Wall

[Spock was.... rather curious at the unexpected influx of individuals without wings...

In his mind, the Vulcan was making theories that included black holes, transporters, ion storms...It was frustrating that the nature of this world made it impossible to pin down any one theory.

Spock can be found traveling to the Dome in the morning, and working there for the rest of the day.
In the evening the Vulcan's curiosity gets the better of him and he stops by Seventh Heaven to see who all is there.]

Thank you, but I'm alright.

[He's not, but his smile returns. A defense mechanism, of a sort]

Tell me about you, Spock. I'm curious. You're definitely not human either.

Yes, I have. Well, the Leonard Nimoy you. An...older one.

lonelygod: (Yep that's me!)

Yea...figured it wasn't. Makes for some fun stories, and a bit of name recognition, but that's all.

[He smiles genially]

But you are a Vulcan, right? From the Enterprise? Good name for a ship that, Enterprise. Very bold.

Ahh, yes, Captain Kirk!

[He raises an eyebrow]

What sort of stressful conditions, Spock? If you don't mind my asking. I love hearing a good story.
lonelygod: (Nope)

[The Time Lord joins Spock at the table, listening to the Vulcan's story in absolute attention. He's getting a story about Red Matter. Well, that's new. Something the Time Lords hadn't even done. Of course he had some idea of it, but his people had known better.

And as he gets on with the story, the Doctor just stays silent, not wanting to interrupt. Anyone else maybe, but this was Spock.]

Oh.

[The Doctor's reaction was one of...basically shock and deep, deep sympathy. He's visibly wilting at the thought.]

Oh, I'm so sorry. So, so sorry, Spock.

[And he really, really means it. He knows what that feels like. Seeing your friends and family die? Yea. Being one of the last of your race? Yea. And being involved in it personally? Oh, he knows that feeling too.]

lonelygod: (Not this time I'm afraid)

[personal profile] lonelygod 2013-01-27 05:35 am (UTC)(link)
[The Doctor smiled sadly and shook his head, thinking of Rose.]

I'm afraid not in my case, actually. But that's alright. I'm used to it.

But you, you've got friends. And a ship, and a crew, and all sorts of wonderful adventures ahead of you.

[And if truth be told? He's a might jealous]
lonelygod: (Lonely)

Not at the moment, no. Don't need anyone, not really.

[Not since Rose, anyway.]

Oh, a while really.

[He shrugs and smiles sadly.]

I'm alright. I'm always alright.

I'll be fine, Spock. Sorry. Really. I'm alright.

[Time War guilt? Time War guilt]

It's a lot, sometimes. Being the last of the Time Lords, but really, I'm alright. Boldly going where no-one has been in a while and all that.

Perhaps one day, Mister Spock.

[Inwardly, he's smiling like a schoolboy again. He's always wanted to say that...]

But for now? I think perhaps it's time I went and did a bit more exploring. Lots to see 'round this little village. Well. Enough to be interesting, anyway.
