Intro Log - Voice/Action
[Illogical does not even begin to characterize the situation that Spock has found himself in. Approximately 2.4 minutes ago he was on the bridge of the USS Enterprise, and through some, as of yet unexplained phenomenon taking no time at all, (possibly through some spacial anomaly or undetected ion storm) suddenly appeared inverted in a tree... Current conditions also leave much to be desired. Spock's Vulcan physiology requires higher temperatures, and proper garments for optimal comfort... the forest in which he is now located has a lower than optimal temperature, and coupled with the disappearance of his Uniform and thermal wear he finds himself rather... cold. Though, perhaps it is fortuitous that he appeared in clothes at all... the white pants will have to suffice.
Upon his initial assessment, and descent from the tree, he was amazed to see an alteration to his physical person]
...Fascinating.
[Spock cards his fingers through the feathered protrusions located in the area of his scapula. Since he could feel a rather curious sensation through manual stimulus of the ...wings, Spock can safely assume they are indeed his newly acquired appendages. He could not fail to notice that his wings are the same ebony color his hair is.
Taking in his surroundings, Spock could hear the sound of running water close by... but nothing significant that could give him evidence of his location. The terrain was similar to that of Earth, however, there was 'something' about them that Spock could not quite explain that told him 'no, this is not Earth'...
As he was about to venture towards the water in hopes of finding civilization, something catches his attention... it appears to be some form of recording device located at the base of the tree in which he just descended from. Picking up the device he also notices that it has his name on it and it appears to be active. Curious... This proves that he was indeed sent here on purpose. But why?
Spock finally decides to speak out loud.]
Greetings, I am Spock. Is there a conscious form of life out there that can tell me my current location?

Re: [Voice]
Mister Lupin? May I ask a favour of you?
[Voice]
Re: [Voice]
[Voice]
[He knew that feeling too.]
I'm just going to step on in, if you don't mind.
[Lupin shut the door behind him when he entered and turned to assess the problem at hand.]
Pitiful Spock is pitiful....
Oh ho ho, so much~
There was a reason he kept his wings under his jacket as often as he could. The weather made him relent, but he never allowed people to touch them unless it was necessary.]
This is quite a mess you're in. Is Starfleet standard uniform usually this tight?
Don't make me turn this into a wing kink.... XD
[Spock starts to put the blue shirt on over his head and waits once more for Mister Lupin to get it over his wings.]
OH GOD
[He refrained from mentioning his career as a thief. A highly logical argument about how it was immoral and unethical was something he didn't want to deal with.]
How does your job involve the mechanical aspects? Didn't you say that you were mainly a researcher?
[It was both his knowledge of the original show and their earlier conversation that led him to this question, though he was actively holding back on revealing any details about that television show. For the moment.]
You lined it up so well... XD
That is true, however, my duties as First Officer requires that I have access and knowledge of all aspects of the ship. I often find myself 'lending a hand' in engineering or crawling through Jefferies Tubes. Though each department serving on the ship have various duties, all personnel are required to have basic knowledge of the schematics of the ship in the case of evacuation or hostile activity.
I thank thee once again. [Spock steps out of the dressing room.] What was your occupation in your world?
And now it's in a different kind of alignment~
[But the next question had Lupin wondering about how to proceed. He kept his cool even as he debated the merits of telling the truth versus lying to the Vulcan. Lying was his natural default to such questions; one of the first conversations where he was honest about his career in Luceti led to an upstanding (and quite talkative) teenage girl demanding to know why he would choose such an awful lifestyle...and why he was mean enough to steal Fujiko's 'fiance.' However, his inner fanboy chided him--wasn't Spock a telepath and empath in the original series? Would lying to him actually be worse and trigger a similar lecture that the truth would?
ohgodohgodohgodohgod--
He kept himself cool in spite of the internal debate, and glanced over at Spock with an easy smile.]
I specialize in infiltration and extraction...
of the questionably legal kind.
Re: And now it's in a different kind of alignment~
Do you still lead such a lifestyle in Luceti?

Shall we try and locate my equipment?
no subject
[It wasn't unexpected. He spun on his heels and motioned for Spock to follow.]
That shop is just a few doors down, not very far.
no subject
[Spock walks beside Mister Lupin... as about as placating as a Vulcan will get.]
no subject
[Though, clearly, Spock would in time come to realize exactly how twisted a man Lupin really was.]
Twisted? I'm skeptical.
Are we nearing our destination?
You'll see it if we continue having threads together! XP
[His suppressed fanboying was coming out.]
That's be cool if we could. I can probably show you a few things too, someday. We can figure out what when the time comes.
Our destination? The door's just up ahead.
You really going to show Spock how to steal? XD
He has many other skills~
You'll be able to find your general items in here. Any weapons will be in the smithy or the weapons shop. I found my semi-auto there, but slugs can be a commodity. Having a more high tech pistol is handy around here because of that.
we shall see....:3
The Federation has banned weapons that utilize gunpowder and lead. The 'stun' option on the phaser has been found to be more logical option and....'merciful.'
[Spock reaches out and picks out a slim tablet and lightly runs his fingers over the screen... it lights up and Spock's body seems to give an agreeable sigh.]
I have located my personal PADD. What is left to locate is my phaser and tricorder.
no subject
Blasters have a 'stun' option similar to phasers. It was a more merciful solution.]
That makes sense, given your knowledge of technology and relative timeline. My home is just on the verge of the 21st Century, so leaded bullets are still the standard. Tasers are becoming more popular, though.
[The tech-geek in him was deeply interested in the PADD--it called to mind a similar device he had in another lifetime that had been granted to him by the Malnosso. Lupin wondered if he still had enough coding knowledge to work with that Starfleet's tech...but that was too personal.]
Your tricorder should be in here too, but the phaser will be elsewhere. The Malnosso know how to make everything inconvenient, unfortunately.

[Spock looks at Mister Lupin.... tasers?]
Are you referring to an archaic device used as a form of 'electrocuting' someone into submission? I believe Dr. McCoy would call that most 'Barbaric'.
Perhaps a future cultural exchange would be beneficial. You seem to find enjoyment working with technology and I am not...adverse to learning something new. I would be amenable to showing you certain components of the PADD in exchange for orienting me to the 'battle dome'.... ?
no subject
[He clearly enjoyed having a new word in his vocabulary.]
We should talk more about our different cultures sometime, because this has been a very interesting conversation. Normally I don't talk to new feathers for long because saying the same thing to different people starts to feel redundant after the first ten times. I'd also love the information exchange sometime...it's probably not much by your standards, but hacking has become an important tool for thieves in my era. The Dome is something I think you would enjoy, honestly. It would be fun to show you around.
no subject
I am...honoured by your sentiments. I too have found solace in our interaction.
[Spock looks to his right to see his tricorder sitting on a shelf. He picks it up.] Most fortuitous.
Shall we go to the 'weapons shop'?
(no subject)
caffeine is illogical.... XD
It's a thing he does. It takes a special sort of person to be added to this list :3c
I'm honoured! ^_^ <3
