Personal Log #10 - [Action/Accidental Video] A return to innocence...

[Spock blinks awake... but then shuts his eyes again as the wave of disorientation hits him. People and events crowd into his mind in no logical order... leaving gaping holes in his memories.

Logically, he can safely assume that something has happened to him. He's hurt, alone... and his normally eidetic memory is off... Indeed, something has definitely happened to him.

Opening his eyes once more, he takes in his surroundings... his tiny hand reaches out and takes the journal that is laying innocently beside him.
It's a familiar book, almost as if it's from a distant memory... but he cannot remember how or why it's here... or where he is for that matter. But he does recognize these trees... He's definitely been here before.
Opening the journal's pages, he doesn't realize that he has activated the 'video'... Anyone who is listening in will see the bruised face of an eight year old boy... with a familiar bowl cut, slanted eyebrows, and pointed ears.
Spock stares at the book for awhile, trying hard to place it within his memory... then shuts it. Standing, and fighting off another wave of disorientation... Spock makes his way slowly towards civilization.]

ooc: Meet 8 year old Spock, who is lost and confused as to where he is. If your CR with him is strong enough, he may recognize you, and recall some events... he just won't recall everything clearly. All answers to posts will be coming from my other account:

Feel free to bump into Spock as he wandering aimlessly around town, trying to find his way home.. or at least a familiar face. If he does find a familiar face, expect him to tag along like a duckling.

[Spock turned his head sharply at the sound of his name...

...that familiar voice. The young Vulcan approached the man, tilting his head.... He scrunched his eyebrows together in frustration as the memories slipped through his grasp..

...but he knew this man.]

I know you... correct?

Yeah... kind of.

_{[ He knelt down so he was eye level with him, trying to process this. Spock had always been so tall and cool and while this child was aloof and reserved, well, he was also a child. It was odd. ]}

My name's Kirk. We live together, here.

Kirk...

[Spock closed the space between them and gingerly lifted his hand to touch the other man's face....]

Jim...

Can we.... can we go home? [Spock had been quite afraid...]

_{[ It felt odd, the name "Jim" coming from such a small boy. But he nodded and without thinking he picked up Spock in his arms. ]}

Yeah, sounds like a perfect idea to me.

[The young Vulcan almost squeaked in protest at being picked up... but this man...

He was very comforting. Immediately, the child threw his arms around Jim's neck and nuzzled into his shoulder to get warm. Shivers wracked the small boy's frame from wandering around in the cold...

...but this Jim.... he felt safe with him.] Thank you.

Yeah, no problem.

_{[ He smiled as he carried him through the town, heading for their home. ]}

Arya will be glad to see you, I'm sure.

Who is Arya?

[Spock observed his surroundings... but he was quite content in his current perch. He hoped that Mister Jim didn't let go any time soon.]

What is our relationship? Were you my... friend?

Arya? She lives with us. She's about your age, actually, a girl and she has a wolf.

_{[ He shifted the other slightly, but did not let go as he continued to walk, the Vulcan oddly light in his arms. He tried to send comforting sort of feelings through the bond, though that particular skill was still new to him - the controlled sending of emotion. ]}

Yeah, we're friends. You met me on Earth, actually.

Earth?

[The Vulcan boy was confused... he was struggling so hard to remember...But the most important part was that they were friends.
Spock didn't have friends.

The Vulcan hugged tighter.]

What did we do on Earth?

Well, you studied science. I kind of did too.

_{[ It seemed the easiest lie, didn't it? ]}

You visited Starfleet Academy, once, got lost. I helped you out.

_{[ Yeah, that totally works. ]}

Jim... That is not correct...

[Spock groaned and shifted his weight in Jim's arms... putting his hands to his head.
His eyes were screwed shut as another wave of disorientation and dizziness overwhelmed him...]

Why can I not remember....

Hey, don't worry about it, okay? Trying to force things won't help you. Just let them come naturally, okay?

Hey, are you hungry? I have stuff to make a sandwich, and I have fresh fruit. We'll get you PB&J, I know you have that vegetarian thing going, right?

PB&J? What is this substance?

I... I would be amenable to consuming fruit though...
[Spock was definitely still a vegetarian... and the young Vulcan couldn't help but feel that Jim was holding so much back from him...

...no matter. Spock knew.. illogically, that he could trust this man.]

Peanut butter and jelly. Totally vegetarian, no worries.

_{[ He got inside their home and he went to the kitchen, setting Spock on the counter as he went to the fridge. He dug out a fruit salad they had made earlier in the week and gave it to him to munch on as he pulled out bread, peanut butter, and jelly. ]}

[Spock stared at the fruit salad in his hands... not really seeing it.]

Where is my mother?

[Spock was lost, and in a strange land.. why wasn't she here?]

_{[ He licked his lips, the question spiking sorrow and panic through him. ]}

She... she's back on Vulcan. We're working on contacting her, but communications are a bit shoddy here. Sorry.

[Spock tilted his head as he regarded Jim.... his eyes assessing the other man.]

I... do not understand why we are here... Why are we here?

Just a mix up of ships, is all. It's getting sorted, really, but with communications down it's taking a bit longer than usual.

Jim...

...that is not a satisfactory answer.
[Spock.. though comfortable with this man, didn't necessarily trust him.]

_{[ He sighed. ]}

Well, it's what you're getting. Just trust me that everything will be okay.

[Spock gave those words some serious consideration....

Then came to an ultimate decision.]

I trust you Jim.

[Spock's face softened once more, no longer scrutinizing everything.]

_{[ He came over to him with a sandwich and a glass of juice. He set both down next to him and he ruffled his hair. ]}

Worry more about how you're going to catch up on all your school work.

[Spock tolerated the action as he examined his sandwich...]

School Work? I am in school?

What grade am I in?
[Spock narrowed his eyes at Jim.... ]

_{[ Oh... well... shit. ]}

I'm not very up to date on the Vulcan education system. I just know that you guys have some advanced way of doing that makes Earth hang its head in shame.

Then how do you know that I have homework?

[Have a suspicious little boy again... better draw his attention away or he's going to know that you have been lying through your teeth...[
