Personal Log #11 - Dazed and Confused [Voice/Action]

[Spock opened his eyes and held in the groan at the familiar sight of Luceti's forest. It took a moment for the Vulcan to organize his thoughts and realize what had happened...

Ah yes... He had been kidnapped once again.

Spock sat up, wary of the lingering effects from his visit with the Malnosso... and looked around for his Journal. Predictably it was laying innocently by his side... illogically he had hoped that it might have been lost. No matter.
Spock reached for it and stopped... realizing that something was wrong with his hand. It was... frozen. His long fingers stuck together, hand in the shape of a loose fist and refusing to move. The Vulcan's eyes widened in surprise as he checked his other hand, finding the exact same thing. What was he going to do? He could barely pick up the journal let alone use it properly.

The Vulcan fumbled with the journal, finally getting it to flop open on in his lap... ]

Greetings. I have been returned from my... visit... with the Malnosso. I require assistance. Is anyone there?

[Action]: Spock can be found in the woods without the use of his hands. He's going to need a lot of help, and Spock's not going to like it.
You can also catch him walking towards his place with his journal held awkwardly between his fists. Approach him if you dare.]

[OOC: When I originally went on Hiatus, I said that Spock was going to be on autopilot, however, I've needed to be away longer than originally planned. It was advised to me that I have Spock mallynapped to excuse him from not knowing everything that's gone down. Apparently I've missed wings... this upsets me greatly. XD]

Greetings prince Vegeta... your euphemisms have not improved.

I see you are still residing in Luceti, that is unfortunate.

[Interpret that as you will, but have a smug look anyway.]
Do I dare inquire as to your state of being?
[Translation: how the hell are you?]

[Spock looked sharply over at his Captain....an argument on his lips.
Wolf in his bedroom?
Illogical.]

I...see. It is fortunate then that I have returned. Miss Arya is well?
[Spock had his own concerns for the young woman... even though they didn't really know each other. It was more of a matter of her being left alone with Jim all this time. Not exactly a good parent figure. *heh*

But really, he wanted to ask how Jim was... Spock was worried.
....he spent a lot of his time alone... in a cell... thinking about his Captain.]

[Spock tilts his head, taking a moment to recognize the voice...
...of course.]

Miss Arya... I believe I should apologise for my abrupt departure, however, it was out of my control.
I trust that the Captain treated you well in my absence? [Kirk wasn't exactly father of the year material.]

Someone is coming... however, I would not be adverse to your company until help arrives.

[He ignores Spock's little comment, of course taking it in both ways that it was probably intended.]

I've been fine, thanks. I'd almost say you were lucky to be away, though I don't know what's worse, the strange happenings that happen here or the experiments themselves. Which leads me to ask; what disability did they give you?

[It can't be any worse than being a woman, Vegeta thinks. That sucked...]

Indeed.. they do seem to have a penchant for keeping certain people around. You are very 'likable' Ami. [Vulcan dry humour abounds... squint and you might see it.]

How is Mister Skywalker? [For Ami's sake, the Vulcan hopes that the Jedi is still here.]

He did. He's even gotten pretty good with Nymeria. [Kirk has handled adjusting to a gigantic direwolf rather well, to be honest, but Arya still recognizes that her wolf is intimidating.]

We can come find you. Until your help gets there, at least. You're out in the woods, right?

[This troubles the Vulcan deeply... and he truly wishes there was something he could do.
Spock remembers suggesting to Crona that he initiate a meld between them, to see if he can quiet the being inside of him...

...but if it didn't work it would make Crona's life that much harder.]

[Spock looks disdainfully down at his Journal which is laying innocently at his feet.]

Could you...?

[Spock was about to refuse the offer... but then...
...he wouldn't mind the company. And it was going to take awhile for help to arrive.]

That is correct... I believe I am north east of the village square. I would be most..

[Honestly, if he could have a full night's sleep, it wouldn't be so bad..]

It's okay...you helped me too. [That might've be funny to someone else, but Crona hardly notices, and picks it up, holding it next to his.]

[Derek laughs quietly; there's something to be said for when dry humor meets dark humor, and Spock's comment borders between the two.]

I'm thinking we need a new statement, anyway.

[He's not entirely at peace, of course, but he has, in essence, an anchor now. A couple in fact, and when 'peace' is not so easily obtainable, anchors can provide the missing comfort.]

[Actually, Ami's keenly aware that very few people seem to have been here as long as she has. She's not quite alone, but it makes her wonder: why her? Or more specifically: why her, leaving her to miss everyone who does leave?

She tends to dwell on those thoughts if she doesn't distract herself.]

Luke is well. [She doesn't offer much more than the polite answers, though there's a certain slight warmth to her voice speaking of Luke - one of the few who has been here a long time, too.] He'll be glad to see you.

[Spock looks grateful as Crona picks up his journal.... and he begins walking towards town.]

It is not a matter of 'owing'... However, if there is anything I can do for you, please let me know. We will help each other.

[Spock meant it... and in Luceti, everyone needed to help each other.]

The last time I saw you... you were regressed in years. How have you been since then?

Perhaps we do... I am certain we can come up with something.

...'Have a nice day' might be an improvement.

[Spock doesn't laugh, but his voice does imply that its a near thing.]

He shifted Spock's weight against his side, rubbing his hip gently for a second before helping him down a bit of a steeper stretch. ]

She's doing good. You know, off being a tomboy mostly.

[This is one of the things he liked about Ami, they didn't have to talk a lot to understand each other.
They were both contemplative people... Ami proved to be quite a comforting presence.]

It will be good to see him...
[It was was thanks to Luke that Spock had his mental shields back at all... he owed the Jedi quite a bit.]

I find that I am looking forward to another chess match with you...
[Spock would never admit it.. but he was slightly troubled. Any form of normalcy would be quite welcome.]

[Crona follows, but his habit of staring at the ground is still there.]

I don't need anything though...

[He's been dealing with Ragnarok and all those issues since he was born.]

...After that I was embarassed...but I don't really have anything to do here, so I'm inside a lot.

[Spock hummed in consideration...
Sure the Prince got on his nerves, but he would never admit it...but...
...he owed this man a lot. Especially since Vegeta protected him when they last fought together.]

...stuck. I am without the use of my hands and it is proving to be a rather inconvenient circumstance.
[Very inconvenient... Spock couldn't even pick up his stupid Journal.]

[Spock turns to face Crona... tilting his head in confusion..]

Inside? You mean you have been spending most of your time removed from society?

[He's...still staring at the ground.]

Yes...I-I'm not very good around a lot of people.

[Spock gives Jim a small half-smile...but then his expression falters as Jim rubs his hip... a blush staining his cheeks.]

I see.. that is well.
Captain... you do realize that I can walk, yes?

[It's not that he wasn't grateful, but it was difficult to be this close to Jim.]

[Ami arrives around that moment, and the moment she catches sight of Spock, she closes the journal and runs the short distance left between them.

All the chess ever, Spock.]

I'm relieved. But if the Malnosso took you... What happened then?

You think that, but you've been cooped up probably in a tiny cell for over a month, so I'm guessing unless they exercised you like good and proper owners your muscles have atrophied or you're at least not up for a hike through the woods without help.

[Spock looks up as Ami bursts through the trees... a very welcome sight.
Silently, the Vulcan lifts his hands for Ami to see... his fingers seemingly glued together, hands in a fist... wrists locked into a straight position.

Very inconvenient.]

This, apparently... However, I must commend the Malnosso on creativity.

[She checks in visible alarm. Even with surgery- She might not be able to restore the use of his hands, yet. (It's another count on the list of many, many things that make her think the Malnosso really are simply toying with them - the 'terrarium' hypothesis someone mentioned on the journals recently, or something like that.)]

Your friends will help you for the time being. [This is mostly to at least try to be reassuring.] I'll do what I can, too.

[It's all right, Spock, Derek will laugh for you.]

It might be, at that.
