Personal Log #18 - [Action - All Day]
The Dome:
[One of the simulator doors is wide open for anyone to see inside, and for the most part, the room is empty... except for a tv, and a large couch; the back of which is facing the door. For anyone who knows the Vulcan well, they'll recognize the cap of neat, black hair sticking above the back of the couch. What will seem odd though are the sounds coming from the room...
...sounds, for those who would recognize them, that resemble something like video games from the mid eighties to early nineties.
If anyone dares to venture into the room and walks around the couch, they'll see the floor littered with games for the various consoles set up by the tv. Currently, Spock is engrossed with Super Mario Bros for the SNES, his eyebrows and mouth fixated in a scary looking frown as he navigates through the levels.]
[ooc: Spock has been gone for just about two weeks, and is now suffering under a inconvenient effect: he's addicted to video games. For those who would like to jump in on this, there are extra controllers. *hint hint*
Also, it's good to be back~ /hugs everyone/]

Test it out by pressing various buttons. I am certain you will get 'the hang of it' quickly.
[Spock points at the screen.] You are the green one known as Luigi.

[Syre mimics the Vulcan's hand placement, then looks over at the TV once mo-- oh, there's a little green man there now! She wasn't expecting that.]
[She spends a few moments familiarizing herself with the controls, running back and forth in place before she finds her confidence to move onward. Luigi hops over a pipe and onto a Goomba's head, flattening it almost comically; Syre laughs quietly, seemingly amused by the small running man and the easily defeated monsters.]
[And then, after mistakenenly jumping into one of the blocks, a sparkling star comes out of it, and Syre's eyes widen.]
Hey, what's tha—oh, it's getting away!
[If there were any more appropriate times for comedic music, it would be now. Syre seems almost too invested in trying to get the little bounding star, and just as it's about to jump into a pit, Luigi touches it...]
[And then the fun starts. Syre all but beams as she starts barreling through Goombas and other nasties, intently focused on running through as many of the baddies as she can before her short-lived invincibility wears off.]

...but that's when he starts to get antsy for his turn. His eyes are glued to the screen though as Syre goes through the level as though she's a pro at this game. When the invincibility wears off though, he almost says 'watch out!']

... Oh. [She almost sounds like a sad child.] Well. I guess it's your turn now, huh?
[She glances over at Spock, lips curled into a girlish smile.]

[The Vulcan finds, that perhaps for the first time in his life, he's actually having quite a bit of fun. He could play with Syre for hours... and maybe that's what they end up doing. They eventually move onto Mario Kart for the N64...]
Fascinating. I realize that what I feel for you right now is not actual hate, but never before has a 'game' caused me to express such an array of feelings.
[Welcome to Mario Kart, Spock.]

[...says the woman who's currently second place on Banshee's Boardwalk, of all stages, with Luigi of all characters...]
...ah, there's no railing the—!!
[...and then the kart goes careening off the track, wasting her precious spot as Lakitu takes his sweet time pulling Luigi out of the void.]

The Vulcan huffs, leaning forward on the couch... getting really into the game.]

[A red shell from behind knocks into her, and she spins off the track once again.]
Oh for the Gods' sakes!
slight ooc-ness, but I blame it on the affect he's under. hehe
He seems to realize what he's doing as he stops, and sits down again.]
Please excuse my actions, I do not know what came over me.
The Malnosso do everything!! XD
Goodness. Does winning these simulations invoke such happiness in everyone?

[Spock stares at the screen, concentrating on something.] I believe something is wrong.
