Personal Log #18 - [Action - All Day]

The Dome:

[One of the simulator doors is wide open for anyone to see inside, and for the most part, the room is empty... except for a tv, and a large couch; the back of which is facing the door. For anyone who knows the Vulcan well, they'll recognize the cap of neat, black hair sticking above the back of the couch. What will seem odd though are the sounds coming from the room...

...sounds, for those who would recognize them, that resemble something like video games from the mid eighties to early nineties.

If anyone dares to venture into the room and walks around the couch, they'll see the floor littered with games for the various consoles set up by the tv. Currently, Spock is engrossed with Super Mario Bros for the SNES, his eyebrows and mouth fixated in a scary looking frown as he navigates through the levels.]

[ooc: Spock has been gone for just about two weeks, and is now suffering under a inconvenient effect: he's addicted to video games. For those who would like to jump in on this, there are extra controllers. *hint hint*
Also, it's good to be back~ /hugs everyone/]
borntorebel: (Classic unsure face)

A game? [She's never seen a game like this before. And she never would have taken the man as the type to play games like this. He'd struck her as a semi-serious persin the time they'd met.

With a slightly dazed and confused look, Leia takes the controller and sits down next to him.]

What sort of game is this?
borntorebel: (Are you sure this is the right way?)

[personal profile] borntorebel 2014-08-10 08:38 pm (UTC)(link)
[Leia pays extra attention while Spock shows her how to control the figure he indicates is her avatar. It isn't exactly easy for her, but she's not the type to give up so soon. After a few experimental moments, she catches on, showing some aptitude and good reflexes.

Still, she's not sure about the actual entertainment value it offers.]

Do you enjoy these kinds of things often?
borntorebel: (Undercover)

[personal profile] borntorebel 2014-08-13 10:21 pm (UTC)(link)
[While she doesn't speak "Spock", she does speak "politician" and "cocky flyboy" after all her time with Han and Luke. So, it's not much more to mash the two together and translate Spock into regular person language.

She watches the red-clad avatar that Spock controls as it moves across the screen, paying attention to the obstacles and how they are avoided. Until it is attacked by what appears to be a walking mushroom. With a slight smile, she attempts to clear the level herself with "Luigi". She gets to about the same area as he did before she is attacked by a large bullet with a face on it.]

Where did that come from?
borntorebel: (You forgot about the blasters.)

[personal profile] borntorebel 2014-08-17 11:00 am (UTC)(link)
[She is just as engrossed, listening for the sound that she missed before. And it goes off.]

Well, I'm not likely to forget that sound now.

[It's muttered under her breath as she continues to watch him, realizing the entertainment value of such exercises. It's nice to not have to think about the outside world for a bit, but she finds more enjoyment in a well written book.

His question stops her train of thought and she turns to look at him instead of the screen.]

I recently held my future husband at blaster point but he deserved it.
borntorebel: (There's an Ewok about to drop on you.)

[personal profile] borntorebel 2014-08-18 02:41 am (UTC)(link)
[Of course she's serious. She doesn't joke about blaster-point.]

His name is Han Solo. And he's used to it by now. I'm hardly the first person to pull a weapon out on him nor will I be the last.
borntorebel: (If looks could kill)

[personal profile] borntorebel 2014-08-20 07:16 pm (UTC)(link)
He kidnapped me. The details are personal. Suffice it to say that he still lives.
borntorebel: (Thoughtful)

[personal profile] borntorebel 2014-08-28 12:15 am (UTC)(link)
[Join the club. Leia's still not sure why she didn't shoot Han herself.]

Evidently, there are extenuating circumstances, but I've been far too angry to ask what they are.
borntorebel: (God you're stupid!)

[personal profile] borntorebel 2014-08-28 10:41 pm (UTC)(link)
[Leia laughs softly under her breath at that.]

Despite our surface differences, Han and I are...compatible. Most of the time.

[Now that they've gotten over the sexual tension and her brother out of the way.]

He simply forgets to think certain things through.

[You know, pissing off notorious gangsters and kidnapping your girlfriend so she doesn't marry someone else. Just a few examples of bad decision-making.]
borntorebel: (Don't let the smile fool you.)

[personal profile] borntorebel 2014-08-29 11:22 pm (UTC)(link)
I've never met Mr Kirk, but my brother's told me a little about him.

[She gives the Vulcan a smile of her own, a little surprised at how relaxed she is doing nothing with a virtual stranger.]

He and Han do sound an awful amount alike though. I bet they'd grt along famously.
borntorebel: (Twiiiiiiiiiiiiins)

[personal profile] borntorebel 2014-09-01 11:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, that is the other side to that coin, sadly. Let's hope it's the former and not the latter though. I could use less drama in my life right now.

[Honestly, she's hardly surprised that Spock knows Luke. It just...makes sense.]

He's...okay. Well, he will be. Once things calm down again.
borntorebel: (Do you know what you're doing here?)

[personal profile] borntorebel 2014-09-03 09:24 pm (UTC)(link)
[She debates with herself on how to answer Spock for a long, tense minute. While their lives had a few intensely public moments, Luke preferred his privacy. Leia knew that she really didn't have that luxury between being princess, senator, and rebellion leader. Her actions were always being scrutinized by someone.

She doesn't feel comfortable sharing information about Luke without his express permission.]

There are a lot of personal things going on in our household right now. It's to be expected with so many strong personalities under one roof.
borntorebel: (Get out)

[personal profile] borntorebel 2014-09-05 08:42 pm (UTC)(link)
[She grimaces at the offhanded mention of Anakin. That is a topic she avoids even at the best of times.]

Yes. It is...not easy.
