Re: 14th-Evening
[ Did you really have to go there, Spock? Really? He gave him a scowl, and then shrugged, having hoped to avoid this topic, even with the package he had pressing against his side beneath his coat... ]
I dunno. It's the sort of thing that finds you, you know?
[ He walked further into the room, pulling a small red box out of his coat as he stripped it off, tossing it into Spock's lap. ]
Here. I thought you might like these.
[ Ignore the fact it is heart shaped. ]
Re: 14th-Evening
He was vaguely familiar with this.]
Jim... this was very kind of you. Thank you.
[The Vulcan pries the box open, looking inside...]
Re: 14th-Evening
[ It would have an assortment of chocolates inside of it, prettily displayed in their little dark-brown paper cups.
Kirk shrugged, hanging up his coat in the closet and putting his boots in there as well, his gloves getting tossed onto a nearby table. ]
It's nothing, really. Saw him and just thought you might like them is all.
Re: 14th-Evening
[Spock gingerly lifts one out of the package, looking at the rich looking, decorate ball...] My mother was always quite fond of chocolate. Though my father never allowed it in the house.
[The Vulcan's expression softens. This was very nice of Jim...] I am sorry that I did not get you anything... will you share these with me?
Re: 14th-Evening
Your father didn't allow chocolate? What was he, a tyrant?
[ He shook his head. His Uncle had been a dick, but Kirk had still grown up with a few goodies available now and then, mostly around holidays when his mom was around. But he still got them.
He wandered over, leaning over the back of the couch and reaching down, plucking a chocolate drizzled with more chocolate and popping it into his mouth. ]
Eh, they're not bad. I honestly kind of thought these had like an 80% chance of tasting like chalk.
Re: 14th-Evening
It was good.
More than good.
Spock let it melt in his mouth, savouring the dark chocolate until it was completely consumed...
...then reached for another.]
These are... most satisfying.
Re: 14th-Evening
Is this really your first time tasting chocolate? You were at the Academy, chocolate's not forbidden.
[ He was having less of a reaction that Spock was, arching his brow as he added another chocolate to his mouth, this one sweeter - a milk chocolate rather than the bitter of the dark. He thought he liked dark better. ]
Re: 14th-Evening
[Spock savoured another piece, relaxing against the couch as he did so. It was absolutely delicious.]
Perhaps we should have chocolate more often.
Re: 14th-Evening
Not like it's hard to get.
[ He shrugged, picking another and deciding he was done. He wasn't much into sweet things, though he enjoyed them when they were presented. ]
You enjoy the rest of the box. I feel bad depriving you of as much chocolate as you can get on your first experience with it.
Re: 14th-Evening
Re: 14th-Evening
... Yeah.
[ He came around the couch and sat down in the free space, kicking his feet up on the coffee table... and maybe sneaking one more chocolate. ]
Anything interesting happen today?
Re: 14th-Evening
Re: 14th-Evening
[ Spock was smiling? And giving him a compliment? Kirk raised his eyebrows and glanced at the chocolates and back at Spock. They couldn't be laced with anything, since Kirk wasn't feeling effects. Odd... ]
Hey, I was thinking... maybe you should teach me to speak Vulcan.
[ He needed something to keep his mind out of dark places, and he did that best when he had a task. He could work on his motorcycle, but he needed a break now and then, especially at night when it was to cold and dark to work, so maybe learning a language could be a new distraction. ]
Re: 14th-Evening
Spock blushes as he nods.] It would be an honour, sir.
[Perhaps the look he was giving Jim was a bit too longing.]
Re: 14th-Evening
[ Kirk squirmed a bit, not sure what to make go the look. Or rather, maybe he knew exactly what to make of it, he just didn't want to admit he knew why or that he might feel the same. Did he? God this was weird and crazy and wrong and... Damn. ]
Good. Do you want to start after you're done having a relationship with that chocolate? Or should I leave you two alone for a bit more?
Re: 14th-Evening
Are there any particular phrases you wish to learn first?
[He eats another piece of chocolate. Don't mind the fact that Spock's eyes are completely blown.]
Re: 14th-Evening
[ It was a hard thing to ignore. Kirk frowns and reaches out, taking the box of chocolates and considering it and then himself. He didn't feel any different than before, but he had been in places dark enough to know what those look Spock's eyes was... ]
Let's start with "how are you feeling right now, Spock"?
Re: 14th-Evening
[His Captain is quite nice. Smells nice too... Spock is feeling all sorts of content right now. Don't mind him if he starts purring.]
Re: 14th-Evening
Right, but, are you sure?
[ Should he call Bones? Had he just accidentally doped his lieutenant? Whoops.
He leaned in, gripped Spock's face and peering at his eyes. Definitely blown. But the chocolates weren't drugged or anything, since he wasn't feeling anything. What was going on? ]
Re: 14th-Evening
Taluhk nash-veh k'dular...
Re: 14th-Evening
[ The purring noise - got that purring noise. It was weird and at the same time sent a little thrill up his spine that he seriously questioned. ]
Uh yeah, I'm not quite that good yet. I can barely say "hello" remember? And even then I think I offend half your people when I do.
Re: 14th-Evening
[Spock had leaned forward just a little bit, but the space had certainly become more intimate.]
Re: 14th-Evening
[ T'hy'la. He knew that word. He knew it all to well. It made him shiver and want to throw himself at Spock and at the same time shrink away. It was totally unfair, the things Spock made him feel. He didn't have time for this... ]
Yeah, you taught me that one.
[ He did not move his head away from Spock though, swallowing thickly as he looked into those blown eyes. ]
Re: 14th-Evening
[Spock was captured... he leaned in closer, his body shifting so that his leg was almost touching Jim's.]
Re: 14th-Evening
Why? Shouldn't I learn a word I don't know?
[ That word reverberated through his head, bouncing back and forth and echoing like in some kind of dream.
He reached up, cupping the back of his neck, wanting to tell himself to pull away and then he remembered the kiss under the mistletoe and he couldn't quite pull away. Something stopped him, kept him rooted there looking at the Vulcan's eyes. ]
That's point of a language lesson after all...
