Personal Log #18 - [Action - All Day]
The Dome:
[One of the simulator doors is wide open for anyone to see inside, and for the most part, the room is empty... except for a tv, and a large couch; the back of which is facing the door. For anyone who knows the Vulcan well, they'll recognize the cap of neat, black hair sticking above the back of the couch. What will seem odd though are the sounds coming from the room...
...sounds, for those who would recognize them, that resemble something like video games from the mid eighties to early nineties.
If anyone dares to venture into the room and walks around the couch, they'll see the floor littered with games for the various consoles set up by the tv. Currently, Spock is engrossed with Super Mario Bros for the SNES, his eyebrows and mouth fixated in a scary looking frown as he navigates through the levels.]
[ooc: Spock has been gone for just about two weeks, and is now suffering under a inconvenient effect: he's addicted to video games. For those who would like to jump in on this, there are extra controllers. *hint hint*
Also, it's good to be back~ /hugs everyone/]

So what's the point?
no subject
Some would argue that the point is to have fun. I have yet to proof of this.
[The little light on the screen goes green, and the Vulcan's kart starts with a boost. You any good at this Harry?]
no subject
Which... he does. Sorta. His kart veers off to the right.
Then the left.
Right again.
Circles. Twice.
Then takes off. Kinda. It's weaving a bit.]
Not even gonna take it easy on the new guy, huh?
no subject
Do you wish for me to 'take it easy' on you?
[Because really, do you want him to? Though Spock can't help his mouth twitching into the smallest of small smiles at Harry's flailing kart.]
no subject
No. Of course not.
[Just watch him, Spock. Just watch him. He can build a shuttlecraft from spare parts. He can pilot a virtual vehicle.
In a moment. After he figures out which button makes the damn thing quit spinning in circles.]
no subject
[Spock's smugness is almost palpable now as he navigates the course perfectly. Careful boys, wars have broken out over Mario Kart.
This is probably not helping their personal situation either... or maybe it will.]
no subject
Except he's way too far behind to make this run anything more than a practice run.]
I'm demanding a rematch.
no subject
[Dare he say that he is enjoying himself? He really doesn't understand this kidnapping affect. Well, he's not in any pain or too much confusion, so he'll let it run its course.
And since Spock is so good at multitasking... he decides to strike up a conversation at the same time.]
May I inquire as to your position on your ship? [Innocent enough question, right?]
no subject
[He pokes at it few more times, then glances at Spock as he answers the question.]
I'm the Operations Officer on Voyager. [Head of his department fresh out of the Academy. It's an accomplishment.]
no subject
That is a commendable position. I am curious to know how much of your universe has changed now...
[The Vulcan mused as he set up another race.]
no subject
no subject
I am merely wondering how much will change because of that event. It is possible you may not even be on Voyager. But, it is illogical to ask 'what if'.
[What Spock doesn't realize is that he's being kind of illogical right now.]

[He wonders if there are any other Vulcans in starfleet. It's possible that there aren't. Considering that his father practically banished him from his family home when he made the decision to join starfleet...]
no subject
I work closely with Lieutenant Commander Tuvok; he's Voyager's security and tactical officer -- and third in command of the ship. I'm not all that familiar with the intricacies of Vulcan culture or anything, but I'm familiar with Commander Tuvok. I suppose that counts for something. Maybe.
no subject
I am pleased to hear this.
[He wonders if Tuvok was given a hard time joining Starfleet too.]
[Harry and Spock play video games in silence for a good long while... and he wonders who is going to address their last meeting first.]
Are you adjusting to Luceti well?
no subject
Yeah, settling in. The first couple weeks weren't easy.
no subject
I am pleased to hear that your situation is improving. I will admit, I was concerned.

no subject
Miss Torres has told me nothing about your situation, nor do I expect answers. It is your personal business, no mater what Captain Kirk may tell you.
[Because everyone knew that Jim was worse than an old woman for wanting to get into everyone's business.]
no subject
no subject
May I inquire as to what you mean by 'out of control'?
no subject
They attached something to my skull. We called it a clamp. It, uhm. It made it nearly impossible to remain emotionally level. [Funny he's talking to a Vulcan about this.] Increased agitation, inability to control anger, nervcousness and anxiety. Pretty much everything bad elevated all the time.
no subject
[He wanted to ask if Harry did anything he regretted, but it wasn't his business.]
